24.01.2022 *Staff Pick* Searching for Sugar Man is the almost unbelievable story of Detroit singer songwriter Rodriguez, who disappeared into obscurity after two albums failed to sell in America. Unbeknown to the artist, his music became a phenomenon in apartheid South Africa. The documentary follows the quest of a few devout fans to find the enigmatic Rodriguez. This documentary won an Oscar, definitely worth a watch.... Searching for Sugar Man is available on Beamafilm. We've had Australian Sign Language interpretation added to some of our Rhymetime videos, which you can view on Thursdays over the coming weeks. 22.01.2022 | Storytime Craft | This week in Storytime online we read two variations of 'Little Red Riding Hood'. For our craft we are making Little Reds basket from paper strips. This activity focuses on hand-eye coordination and improves manual dexterity. Younger children can start by practicing cutting the strips of paper and gluing them into the star shape. They may need help with the weaving and shaping of the basket.

21.01.2022 Planning a visit? Make sure you dress for warmth. The City of Perth Library's boiler is being replaced to make the Library a more comfortable place to be. It will be cold in the Library as the old boiler is removed and the new one is put in place. We expect the new boiler to be installed and working in early September.
