25.01.2022 How do you know if fruit fly has stung your fruit? Look for blemishes and pick your ripe fruit and cut it open to check for maggots. If you find any, seal the fruit in an airtight container and contact the Fruit Fly Hotline (1300 666 010). You can learn what fruit fly look like and how to detect them in your home garden > https://bit.ly/31IGcbw

20.01.2022 It’s beginning to feel like Christmas in Prospect This Friday would have been the much-loved annual ‘Lions Christmas Carols in the Park’ event in Memorial Gardens. Sadly, this event was unable to proceed in 2020 due to COVID-19. The Prospect Blair Athol Lions Club will instead be bringing 'Lions Christmas Carols to You'. Listen to three of your favourite Christmas tunes from your porch this December and support the charity that supports the community. To participate... and invite carol singers to your place: Send an email to [email protected] to register your interest (and let them know if you’d like to order a Christmas Cake or Pudding too!). They will let you know an approximate date and time that they will come to your street in December. You’ll receive a phone call when they’re on their way to your front yard or driveway. Enjoy some Christmas cheer and thank the Lions Club with a donation to help those in need. The small group of carol singers will maintain social distancing and abide by current COVID-19 restrictions at all times during the activity. They simply want to spread joy this December and we encourage you to join the festivities. Donations and Fundraiser Christmas pudding purchases are greatly appreciated. Christmas Cakes (1kg - $13 or 1.5kg $17) and Christmas Pudding (900g - $13) available via pre-order only. *This activity is not hosted or organised by City of Prospect. For all enquiries, please direct your questions to [email protected].

18.01.2022 We are enhancing the nature play at JW Rattley Reserve in Nailsworth and would like your feedback on the draft concept plan for the Stage 2 Works. JW Rattley Reserve was upgraded in June/July 2020 with key features including new playground equipment, nature play elements, lawned area, picnic areas, access path, reflection garden, fence murals and general landscaping. As a result of feedback received on the upgrade, we have subsequently developed a draft Concept Plan for the S...tage 2 Works, which adds some new elements to the park and takes into consideration the recent feedback and suggestions received. The intention of the draft Concept Plan for the Stage 2 Works is to connect the various play elements that were installed in June/July 2020 and add value to the playspace by providing more opportunities for imaginative play. Consultation closes Sunday 6 December 2020. Provide your feedback or find out more at https://bit.ly/33dn1af * The attached image is an indicative representation of the proposed draft works *
