The would be painted over an existing footpath in an area recently renamed Equality Green. The name and new rainbow footpath honour the moment in history when 30,000 people gathered on the lawn to hear the results of Australia’s marriage equality postal survey.

03.01.2022 Heatwave conditions are forecast for this weekend. NSW Health is asking the community to take precautions and watch out for the vulnerable. Find more information here: https://city.sydney/heat-wave-advice ... Everyone needs to take precautions to avoid heat stress. But NSW Health also urges people to continue to practise Covid-safe behaviour during the heatwave. If you’re able to cool your home through a combination of fans, air-conditioning and closed blinds, please do so and stay at home. This is to ensure public distancing continues to happen at airconditioned public indoor venues, such as shopping centres, libraries and community halls. If you do leave your home to visit other indoor spaces, physically distance and wear a mask when you can’t maintain a 1.5 metre distance from others. Check-in with friends and family. People showing severe signs of heat-related illness should seek urgent medical attention and, in an emergency, call triple zero (000). We work with the state government and outreach services to provide care for rough sleepers during heatwaves. Pets and wildlife are affected too. Find out some tips to help protect our local wildlife in the heat: https://city.sydney/look-after-wildlife-in-heat
