18.01.2022 Almost three years ago, tens of thousands of Sydneysiders gathered in Prince Alfred Park to hear the results of the shameful and unnecessary postal survey. Afte...r decades of activism and sacrifice from so many in the LGBTIQ community, love won. In recognition of that special moment, last year we named the lawn at Prince Alfred Park "Equality Green". Local residents and businesses from the Surry Hills Creative Precinct Inc made an incredible suggestion to go further they asked Deputy Lord Mayor Jess Scully to take the idea of a beautiful rainbow footpath to Council and we supported it unanimously. Now this beautifully celebratory footpath is on public exhibition for your feedback!
