25.01.2022 What is Godliness? I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 NKJV When we think of Godliness, we think of religious rules and regulations: finger-pointing and judging or saying ‘Thou shalt not!’ Well, that is far from godliness. In the age of fast motorways, crazy drivers, and internet schemers, is godliness possible? Do we need to slow down, step back, and give it some thought? Godliness is an attitude that is created through... a culture of love, joy, and peace, and this comes from a source. That source is God, the world knows Psalm 23, even people who did not follow Jesus knows this Psalm. Psalm 23 starts with ‘The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want’ and ends with ‘surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life’ this Psalm is your source code! The pressures of life cause us to focus on outward appearances so much that we have stopped being real. The breakdown with relationships and values are based on unrealistic expectations? The bible says; ‘People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’ 1 Samuel 16:7 Godliness grows on the inside. Stop and ponder this for a moment. When a person‘s heart is sensitive to God, the response to others is one of love and it becomes evident that God is their source. King David in the Bible says ‘my soul thirsts for God’ Psalm 42:2NKJV. Are we thirsty for a spiritual encounter? You can be rich or poor, young or old, follower or leader, active or quiet, married or single, urban or rural, Labour or Liberal these things do not count before God. Cultivate a desire, ask questions, and keep on searching; Jesus will never turn you away, call on him and he will come into your heart. A relationship with God is godliness! See more

25.01.2022 No Limitations As he thinks within himself, so he is. Proverbs 23:7 ISV How many of us remember the story of Roger Bannister running a mile under four minutes? It was said by experts that it is physically impossible to run the mile in less than four minutes, and yet it happened! When we look back on life’s journey, many things we thought that we could not achieve have happened, and here you are! Never limit yourself by saying ‘I can’t do that’, or ‘I will never be able to ach...ieve this dream’, or ‘that challenge was over my head’. Scientists orchestrated an experiment on flees that were put in a jar with a lid on. By nature flees like to jump from place to place every time they jumped in this jar, they would hit the lid. After a week of head butting, the flees adjusted their jump to stop before hitting the lid. The scientists then removed the lid and noticed the flees would jump to the edge of the jar but not out. There are times we put limitations on ourselves: in doing so we place a lid that says you can’t go further or do better. I have good news for you; when we move from believing in our own abilities (which are limited) to believing in Jesus as Lord, it gives you a renewed mind, heart, and body. This is the Bible’s answer to any limitations you may have make this your confession: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 You can be the next Roger Bannister that can break records, climb mountains, and overcome barriers. Let limitations be a thing of the past because your future in Christ is bright and worth it! Limitations are lies whereas God’s word is true receive it today! Stay Blessed. See more
