The partnership follows research by Galaxy Research, which found that 91% of the 1,000-plus people surveyed are considering booking a homestay accommodation for their next extended family holiday.

10.01.2022 Happy Monday! For anyone following Airbnb closely you will have heard about the heat that theyve been under this year in relation to discrimination. This article provides a great outline on the outcome of the efforts made by Airbnb to eradicate any discrimination and states the following:... In April, the company enlisted Laura W. Murphy, the former head of the American Civil Liberties Unions Washington D.C. legislative office, to lead a review every aspect of the Airbnb platform to help ensure they are doing everything we can to fight bias and discrimination. The result, according to the post, was the establishment of the community commitment. From this week, all members logging into their account will have to agree to the following commitment and if they dont then they will not be able to book trips or Host on the site at all. You commit to treat everyoneregardless of race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or agewith respect, and without judgement or bias. For the record, while we wont know if this will have the positive impact that the commitment has been created to have, any efforts to reduce discrimination is a good thing in our eyes and we support what this is looking to achieve to its fullest.

02.01.2022 Its great to see the NSW Government giving its support to the short-term rental industry. Following an 18 months enquiry the government had been reviewing the recommendations provided in the report and last week confirmed their support for the recommendations. A lot more work is required before its clear how the recommendations will be implemented but its great to see NSW get the much needed clarification on the subject.
