16.01.2022 This is why Building Inspections are necessary, I inspected this brand new home recently and I always turn the taps on and flush the toilets. When I flushed this ensuite toilet it flooded the ensuite and master bedroom........oops....the Builder is not returning calls.

13.01.2022 A thought from Richard Branson.............How happy are you? How much has your company grossed this quarter? Which question is more important to you? If you are more concerned about the latter, then one suspects the answer to the former is not going to be very positive.... With this in mind, I was delighted to hear the Bhutanese have introduced a Minister for Happiness. This Himalayan kingdom has a new measurement of national prosperity too gross national happiness. By focussing on people’s well-being rather than economic productivity, there is likely to be a knock-on effect for business too. After all, a happy workforce makes for a more successful and productive team. Success and money can contribute to happiness, but happiness itself is another thing altogether. Words like ‘family’, ‘friends’, ‘love’ and ‘laughter’ have a lot more to do with happiness than words like ‘gross’, ‘capital’ and ‘revenue’. Money is a by-product of bigger, more meaningful goals such as passion, fun and wisdom. As I’ve said before, have fun, do good, and the money will come. Perhaps we could learn a thing or two from the Bhutanese and their Minister for Happiness. What other measurements for success are important to you?

12.01.2022 Today is a good opportunity to open windows and doors to ventilate your home after a few days of wet weather to prevent the growth of mould spores on walls, ceilings, curtains, clothing etc. Mould spores are a source of indoor air pollution. Airborne mould spores can produce allergic reactions in sensitive people similar to hay fever. People who experience allergic reaction to mould spores are also more likely to suffer from asthma.

05.01.2022 A comment from Richard Branson : While children all around the world will have been writing their lists for Santa in the past few weeks, lots of businesses will be winding down for the holiday season. We have all the family here on Necker Island and are getting ready to enjoy a bit of a break ourselves. It is important to relax and take a break from business when the moment is right.... But before you know it the holidays will be over and it will be time to get back to work. So while you shouldn’t be checking your inbox every 10 minutes, you probably won’t be able to disengage from working completely. Instead, use the period to think creatively about what is coming up next for your business and for you personally. Perhaps use those children’s lists for Santa as inspiration. What if your company could get a festive gift? What would your business write down at the top of its list? More staff? A new printer? Fresh investment? It could be large or small-scale. Write down what you want for your business next year, and you are already one step closer to making it happen. Rather than waiting around for somebody to give you a gift, start figuring out how you can go and earn it. Make 2013 the year you, your loved ones and your business get everything on your lists.

01.01.2022 This is what happens when Builders cut corners and don't take into consideration waterproofing membranes and ensuring drainage is adequate to external walls. This is a luxury home in Dural I inspected last week!!!!!!
