23.01.2022 Thank you Lifeline for teaching us how to become a gatekeeper and learn about suicide prevention. We learnt on how to use QPR, a program about how to ask the right Questions, Persuade and Refer a person who may be in risk of being suicidal. That skill may be able to save lives and we are glad we have gone through it tonight. Well worth it. {{{We care about you and if you would like to talk to someone please send us a message. Do not walk through The Valley alone. We are one message away}}} #SuicidePrevention

22.01.2022 Writing a gratitude journal Gratitude is a powerful feeling to overcome negativity in our mind and soul. I was feeling sad about a few things that didn’t go as I expected for this week. This was when I chose to start writing a gratitude journal. When I fill my mind with things to be grateful for, the atmosphere of my heart immediately changes. The negative feelings grow weaker as we give power to positivity. I bought mine for $3 at Kmart. Its value is 1000x more than it’s ...price. Let the world know what we are thankful for today. Let’s speak gratitude Aloud L.W Cordeaux Heights Gratitude is such a game-changer! We don’t want to waste a second of negativity in this season. #noseasonwasted. Send us a picture of what you’ve been up to this season with an inspiring message and your suburb and initials to [email protected] or via text 0448336279 We’d love to hear from you! The CWI Team

22.01.2022 The Women at the Cross A gruesome murder scene is not a place you expect to see women at, especially a crucifixion! Yet Matthew 27 says many women were there watching from a distance. Of course there were men present as well but it’s interesting to note that only the women are named. Mary Magdalene, Salome and Mary the mother of James & Joseph . These 3 plus the many other women at the scene were there because of their great love for Jesus. He had come to earth and... suddenly life for women changed. They were no longer second rate citizens. Jesus believed that women were people too He gave them dignity, a voice, leadership positions, an opportunity to learn & freedom from their past. They were disciples along side the men. Talk about gender equality, Jesus is the leader of that movement! It seemed that once Jesus was arrested that the male disciples were conspicuously absent. In John 19 four women along with John are right up close to the cross where they could talk with Jesus. He was speaking to women right up until His final breath. On this Good Friday we are thankful for the Cross that Jesus came to set ALL free. In Christ there is neither Jew or Gentile, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ. 06.01.2022 This is the view from where I live I live on a large campus that overlooks a beautiful reserve. On this day I watched the sunrise as it does each day. There is nothing I can do to make it rise, it’s constant and consistent presence shows itself each day. To nourish our land and produce new life. This makes me reflect on Gods Character. He is at work around us, shining his mighty and loving presence into our lives. It’s nourishing and sustaining. And just like the sun ris...ing, there is nothing we can do to make that happen, just come before him, acknowledge his life and presence, and say thank you! Go watch a sunrise this week, I dare you K.G Moss Vale What a beautiful, practical way to lift your spirit. There’s no better remedy to a heavy heart the to meditate on the beauty of God’s creation! #noseasonwasted. Send us a picture of what you’ve been up to this season with an inspiring message and your suburb and initials to: [email protected] or via text 0448336279 We’d love to hear from you! The CWI Team

05.01.2022 #SHE #NEEDS #HELP Good Morning Warriors!I We would like to share a way to bless women suffering from DV during this time and we are asking for all of us to be a blessing! For those suffering with domestic violence, the isolation period has been a very dangerous reality. Yesterday, we got on the phone with WWIS - Wollongong Women's Information Service and asked what we could do together to help.... Lynelle has being so humbled and asked for donations of brokerage money and Essentials to bless women who come through their doors with nothing but their clothe and little children. (Lynelle, you and your team are angels and we would like you to know how much you are appreciated) The list of detailed goods is below as well as the drop off location. Let's do something together and bless our City Women who are hurting! PS: Please drop the Cards (Brokerage) on envelops at their locked letter box as a secure measure. As a friend Donna Morgan from Let's Gather remind us today, this season is time to sow and we would love to do it generously! Oh yes, please SHARE this invite too so our community can know and be part of this See more
