24.01.2022 Local company Denford Civil Pty Ltd has been named the preferred tenderer to deliver the highly anticipated phase 1 of the Stephenson Avenue extension. Construc...tion will begin later this year with up to 100 local jobs anticipated to be created. This is just one of a number of road and rail projects, including our massive pipeline of METRONET work, we have underway creating and supporting local jobs and assisting in our COVID economic recovery. It was great to visit the site with Premier Mark McGowan and Balcatta MLA David Michael earlier this year.

Weve fast tracked this project by three months to help boost the economy post COVID-19 with the project estimated to create 570 direct and indirect jobs and provide opportunities for local businesses. This project has been a priority for the local community and Im pleased works are anticipated to commence in October. Were delivering $6.5 billion worth of transport infrastructure works over the next two years with almost $2 billion to be spent in regional WA.

21.01.2022 ROAD CLOSURE Main Roads Western Australia will be closing the two northbound lanes of the Preston River bridge (near Eelup roundabout) along Forrest Highway... this Sunday 31 January from 6pm to 6am Monday 1 February. Pease avoid the area if possible or take note of detours in place. The road is being resurfaced.

20.01.2022 Travel in Western Australias south-west will soon be safer and easier with tenders called today to deliver Stage 1 of the Bussell Highway duplication. This $85... million project is just one of the major job-creating projects we have underway to support our regional economies. Works are expected to commence in October and will create up to 570 local jobs, while improving safety and efficiency on one of the worst bottlenecks in the South-West. Weve already got the project underway with $4.5 million worth of pre-construction works on the first stage completed earlier this year, paving the way for the next stage of works to start.

16.01.2022 This weekend Karel Avenue will be closed in both directions to enable new bridge beams over the rail line to be installed. The bridge beams are 44 metres long a...nd weigh 161 tonnes each. The widening of the bridge on Karel Avenue will reduce congestion and improve access to Roe Highway and Kwinana Freeway. It also provides enabling works to facilitate construction of the Thornlie-Cockburn link as part of METRONET. Great to work with my colleagues Terry Healy MLA and Yaz Mubarakai MLA on this job-creating, congestion-busting project!

07.01.2022 Plate Load Test _ Test function: Determining soil bearing capacity and determining the amount of drop caused by loads and the type of foundation according to loads and loads... _ Test idea: If we know the value of loads and the amount of drop caused by loads through meters in the device used in the test _ components of the device :- 1-metal cylinder 2-a hydolic piston connected to a transplant and by farming with the supply of loads on the soil and the arm contains a meter to know the value of the pregnancy we provide 3-three meters through them we can know the values of the drop caused by loads 4-Iron pieces placed above the piston for the piston under any heavy stomach and the condition of the stomach that weighs 20 tons 5-Iron angles are put on Tables with meter readings are recorded _ Test steps :- 1-the cylinder is placed under heavy stomach then the hydraulic piston is placed over the cylinder and iron pieces are placed above the plunger for the piston in the stomach 2-put long iron corners on both sides of the cylinder and 3 meters are installed and whistling their reading 3-Loaded with hydraulic piston with 1 kg / cm 2 4-the readings of the three meters are taken every 3 minutes and 5 readings and these readings indicate the drop in the soil as a result of the pregnancy we are providing on the piston that is installed above the cylinder 5-then we raise the load to 2 kg / cm2 and record the readings of the 3 meters every 3 minutes And so until we get to carry 5 kg / cm 2 After that we lower loads in a gradual way (unloading) 6-reduce pregnancy to 4 kg / cm 2 by hydraulic piston arm and record the results of the three meters in tables and with 5 readings and between each reading and the other 3 minutes 7-then we reduce the load to 3 kg / cm2 and we take, and record the readings of the three meters And so until we reach zero pregnancy And every time we record the three meter readings every 3 minutes and 5 readings per counter We take the results we recorded in the tables and draw from them curve between loads and landing and through the results in the tables and curve, the curve is calculated the ability of the soil and the drop caused by loads

03.01.2022 Soil Texture Chart #soiltexture# #soilclass# #soiltextureTriangle# The Soil Texture Chart gives names associated with various combinations of sand, silt and clay and is used to classify the texture of a soil. A coarse textured or sandy soil is one comprised primarily of medium to coarse size sand particles. A fine-textured or clayey soil is one dominated by tiny clay particles. Due to the strong physical properties of clay, a soil with only 20% clay particles behaves as stick...y, gummy clayey soil. Using the soil texture triangle, scientists have created classes which break the distribution of particle sizes (soil textures) into 12 categories: clay, sandy clay, silty clay, sandy clay loam, clay loam, silty clay loam, sand, loamy sand, sandy loam, loam, silt loam, silt. The soil texture triangle is one of the tools that soil scientists use to visualize and understand the meaning of soil texture names. The textural triangle is a diagram which shows how each of these 12 textures is classified based on the percent of sand, silt, and clay in each. Note: these percentages are based on the USDA definition of sand and silt only. Reading a Soil Texture Chart The sides of the soil texture triangle are scaled for the percentages of sand, silt, and clay. Clay percentages are read from left to right across the triangle. Silt is read from the upper right to lower left. Sand is read from lower right towards the upper left portion of the triangle.
