09.01.2022 Have you ever wondered what happens to your estate if you were to die without a will, and you have children?? In South Australia children are entitled to your estate under the law of intestacy (or a share of your estate if you have a spouse or partner who survives you). Your children's share MUST be paid to the Public Trustee who would then manage their inheritance, and decide what payments would be made toward their upbringing until each child turned 18. Wouldn't you prefer to have your spouse, family member or friend making those decisions for your children?
