22.01.2022 As we head into the weekend and the week before Christmas, take care of yourselves. Be kind to the incredible person you are. Take a moment, with your compassionate and kind heart, to consider that for many of us on this planet, this time of year can be difficult and, sometimes, it may not be the 'most wonderful time of the year'. Let's measure our responses with a pause - be kind in our thoughts, not quick to judge. Be kind in our words - when mental and emotional health is strained or overwhelmed, it can present itself in a variety of ways. Take care of your physical, mental and emotional health; Be Kind to the incredible person you are. Caz

21.01.2022 Yogi Santa is in his version of tree pose. He just wants to share with us that there are many variations to be explored and have fun with. Vrksasana (sanskrit tree pose) is great for building strength in our leg bones and confidence with our proprioception and balance. Wobbles happen and feed our body with information so enjoy them too or you could use a prop. This time of year, if you've had a busy day, recline on your mat, stretch and enjoy gravity! Lastly Yogi Santa says "my heel is a little close to my knee joint, this was how I was made....be safe and mindful with your body and your joints. Happy Christmas Tree Pose everyone".....oh Santa!

21.01.2022 I am so grateful to be able to teach and I love learning, practicing and being taught, whether it's by the new students who are just starting out or if it's registering for mental health aware yoga training with Lauren Tober. 17.01.2022 ‘When the weather is hot, keep a cool mind.’ Ajahn Brahm As we head into summer and this year's festive season, I've been contemplating balance. As a student and teacher within the yoga space and away from the mat - at the bookstore where I also work, family, friends, my husband. In the past I have had times where this balance has teetered, like a see-saw We can all relate to this and perhaps even more so within 2020.... Be kind to yourself in the coming weeks. Observe your energy levels and take a well-deserved step back if necessary. With Melbourne opening up again and things getting into a swing of momentum, it can be really easy to push higher and faster. That's ok. If you can take a moment to pause, reflect, come back to both feet on the ground, breathe in and out - then continue with little space around you. It's ease and effort. Holding and softening. Inhale and exhale. Love to you all. Caz
