08.01.2022 So let me tell you a story about David Kate... Originally they were to get married in June at Sitella Winery in the Swan Valley, then COVID19 hit... which was devastating to all couples... so they rescheduled to another venue (Swan Shell) with a significant reduction in guest numbers. As the pandemic continued, it was decided that even the the new location would be untenable, so it was decided that they would move the ceremony and reception to Kate's parents house in Hocking... on a different date - August 1st. Then this Tuesday just gone, some inconsiderate fellows went on a rampage through Hocking (you may have seen it on the news) they broke into Kate's parents house, stole multiple items including the wedding rings and set the house on fire.... Not to be daunted however, Kate and David weren't going to let anything stop them at this stage, so decided on a small ceremony and reception in the afternoon at Whiteman Park on the Boardwalk. Two days before the ceremony it was discovered that the Boardwalk wasn't actually available so a new location in Whiteman Park was decided on... BUT!.... despite all of this, Kate and David got married with their closest friends and family there and it was an awesome day! You can imagine the huge cheer they received when they were finally announced as Husband and Wife!!!!
