18.01.2022 Did you know that green tea is beneficial for women in menopause? The antioxidant compounds in green tea help relieve inflammation and stress. Green tea also helps improve memory and cognition, keeps your bones healthy and strong, and boosts metabolism -- making it easier to prevent menopausal weight gain. Green tea may even help reduce your risk of breast cancer and diabetes. Now, imagine if you could take all of these amazing benefits and multiply them by 10? That's exactly... what happens when you drink Matcha green tea, a powdered form of green tea made from shade-grown tea leaves. Cup for cup, Matcha green tea provides an estimated 10 times more antioxidants than standard green tea. Plus, Matcha contains vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium -- key vitamins and minerals your body needs to maintain hormonal balance. Trying Matcha is a good match for diehard coffee drinkers because it still contains caffeine, with the added benefit of L-theanine to improve focus. You can find Matcha powder in the tea section of your grocery store. Here's how to whip up a Matcha latte. It couldn't be easier! Green Tea Matcha Latte Ingredients 1 cup milk of your choice (I like almond milk!) 1 teaspoon Matcha green tea powder 1 teaspoon honey (optional) Directions 1. Add Matcha powder and milk to a blender. Blend for 20 seconds or until Matcha is dissolved and milk is frothy. 2. Warm the milk in a saucepan on the stove. 3. Pour into a cup. 4. Drizzle with honey. Enjoy!

13.01.2022 That was me making Chocolate Chia Berry Pudding. Very fast In case you missed it, here is the recipe. Ingredients cup berries... cup chia seeds 1 tbsp cacao 2 tbsp rice malt syrup or maple syrup 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 coconut milk or milk of your choice Method 1. In a large jug, measure the milk then whisk all of the ingredients and combine well. 2. Place it in the fridge for at least a few hours (I leave it overnight). 3. You can warm the milk first if you are in a hurry to eat it the same day. 4. The longer it’s left, the thicker it becomes. Adjust the consistency with more milk if it becomes too thick. 5. Serve with extra berries, yogurt, granola or whatever takes your fancy. 6. Will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days, if it lasts that long!

12.01.2022 Guess what’s in the pot? Yep, chicken bone broth! So nourishing for the gut and great to help digestion. I simply roasted two organic chickens for dinner last night, then used all the bones and carcass, threw in loads of veggies and herbs and I’ll let it do it’s thing overnight in my slow cooker. #healingbroth #collagen #nourishing #gelatin #guthealer #immunebooster
09.01.2022 And that’s dessert!
08.01.2022 Lavender essential oil is one of the most popular and versatile essential oils used in aromatherapy. The oil promotes relaxation and is believed to treat anxiety, fungal infections, allergies, depression, insomnia, eczema, nausea, and menstrual cramps. I always have a bottle on hand. I love adding a few drops to my bath and using it in a roll-on before bed. As a Doterra consultant I can order Lavender or any of your favorite essential oils. Comment here and I’ll get in touch. #lavender #aromatherapy Happy Sunday!

05.01.2022 ::: The surprising benefits of drinking warm water ::: It helps you hydrate. You lose fluids overnight so drinking a cup of warm water upon waking helps you immediately start replenishing fluids. Being hydrated boosts your energy, no caffeine required! You may be thinking, but isn't coffee basically warm water mixed with ground and filtered coffee beans? Yes, that's true, but caffeine in coffee is a diuretic, so when you start your day with a cup of coffee , you are contribut...ing to more fluids being zapped from your system. It fires up your metabolism. Drinking warm water upon rising helps to "wake up" your body’s metabolism, activating your body's fuel and fat burning capacities. It relieves nasal congestion. Breathing in the steamy vapor from your cup of warm water can help loosen clogged sinuses and chest congestion and can even help to relieve a sinus headache. It can improve digestion. Drinking warm water can help your body begin to break down certain foods as the digestive process begins. Warm water also helps your intestines contract, clearing out waste products that have built up overnight and easing constipation issues. It helps you detox. Drinking warm water raises your internal body temperature, helping you to sweat, which is one of your body's prime way to push out toxins. Drink your water on the warm/hot side (about 140 F) to help stimulate sweating. It boosts your immune system. Our favorite way to drink warm water is with an added slice of lemon. Not only does it offer an eye-opening pop of flavor, but it also adds vitamin C for an extra immune system boost. If you have a sore throat, add a teaspoon of honey for added soothing power.
02.01.2022 Due to the role that the digestive system plays in absorbing and making nutrients, as well as preventing the absorption of toxins, the effects of a poorly functioning gut are widespread. As such, correcting poor digestive function holds the key to addressing a huge range of common health complaints.
01.01.2022 My journey to better health began 20 years ago. After losing a lot of weight and feeling utterly exhausted, I discovered I was gluten intolerant and my body was unable to retain any nutrients. I had no choice but to radically change my diet and focus on getting well. Coeliac Disease (Gluten Allergy/Intolerance) was only just surfacing. With a very limited selection of gluten free products available (unlike today), I had to get creative in the kitchen and find substitutes for... so many ingredients. Many years later many failed recipes later, I can now confidently serve myself and my family nutritious whole-food meals that are sustaining and delicious. I understand food intolerance's and I have a deep knowledge of the impacts of certain foods that cause inflammation in the body - leading to bloating, weight gain and low energy. If you need help understanding how your diet may be affecting your body message me for a FREE consultation to discuss your goals. I'm offering two private coaching spots to be taken up by the end of August. Message me to set up a Free consultation to discuss your individual goals. https://www.clairemaree.com.au/about/
