25.01.2022 Now is the time to activate your bushfire survival plan if your plan is to leave then leave early well before any fire. Stay safe everyone tomorrow aswell as stay alert.

25.01.2022 We are certainly grateful for the support we receive from the local community. Our biggest Thankyou happens on the day you join us. It’s challenging but rewarding. Message us now to join our new recruits and be battle ready for the next fire season. Thank You

25.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there from Clare CFS.Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there from Clare CFS.

25.01.2022 Keep up the hard work people.

25.01.2022 Time to batten down the hatches, secure loose items and not park vehicles under trees. Strong damaging winds are on their way and Clare is front and centre for the action.

23.01.2022 What a beautiful spot for training we had last night. Crews practicing drafting from a dam to deliver water out onto the simulated scrub/grass fire. Drafting from the dam enables fire fighters to have a constant water source keeping the truck tank full at all times. . Thank you Carl for the pictures.

23.01.2022 On this day 5 years ago the world changed for so many in the Mid North, Adelaide Plains and the Barossa Valley region. A simple spark from a battery in a paddock set off a chain of events that had catastrophic repercussions for an entire community. In a little over 6 hours from a spark at Pinery, 2 beautiful souls were dead... 90 were hospitalised 91 homes were a pile of ash 100 vehicles were melted 388 non residential buildings were destroyed 70,000+ livestock were dead or dying 210,000 acres of prime cropping land was burnt 400 firefighters dropped everything and raced to their stations while interstate firefighters were on their way to assist and countless heroic acts from every emergency service, an army of private Farm Fire Units and the local community were performed. Estimated cost $170,000,000 Today we pause to remember those who saw fire behaviour that re-wrote the record books, witnessed unspeakable devastation and the fear that will stay with them forever. From disaster our true strength shines and we all learn how to better deal with days like these. To put you, your family and your property in the best possible position if this happens again visit www.cfs.sa.gov.au for information on everything you need to be safe this fire season.

23.01.2022 Our brothers and sisters at Aldinga Beach had their station broken into over the weekend and a large amount of equipment was stolen, much of it purchased through fundraising, and all of it used to serve the community. This equipment will surface one day, so please keep an eye out.

22.01.2022 The day the world changed. To those who made the ultimate sacrifice, you will never be forgotten. On this day 19 years ago, 343 Firefighters ran into the World Trade Center doing their job and never returned. 60 Police Officers didn’t return home from that shift. ... 8 EMT/Paramedics heard their last call and didn’t return home. Today we remember their bravery and sacrifice.

22.01.2022 Clare CFS would like to remind you about the potential risk that applies to any electrical device. They ALL produce heat. They CAN short circuit. They may not trip safety switches. Before leaving the house or going to bed it’s safest to turn off all non essential appliances at the plug. ... Remember a working smoke detector can save your life. Test yours today and have an escape plan. See more

21.01.2022 Severe fire danger in the Mid North tomorrow with temps in the low to mid 40’s.

20.01.2022 Don’t be fooled, we can have just as many call outs in winter as summer. As an emergency service we all support each other. But now is the time to join one of the best organisations in the world and make a real difference. Contact us for more information.

19.01.2022 Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Especially those first timers. Michael Tobin have a great day.

19.01.2022 On behalf of the Clare CFS brigade we would like to wish Carl and Kerryn all the best on their special day as they tie the knot and make the ultimate commitment to each other. We wish you a lifetime time of happiness and hope your day is a special one. All the best for your future congratulations to you both .

18.01.2022 Today Clare CFS are cooking a bbq at the Farewell to Holden at Mid North Motor Company. Come down, check out our Holden history and enjoy a snag or steak Sandwich.

17.01.2022 FYI to all in the community. Remember today is a fire ban of an extreme fire rating. Activate your bush fire survival plan if your plan is to leave then leave early.

16.01.2022 As you’ve probably heard Sunday 15th is going to be very hot, windy and with possible dry lightning, followed by a gusty southerly change late in the day. To be honest it doesn’t get much worse. CFS have rated the Mid North as Extreme. The second highest possible. Everything you need to know about how to be the safest possible during this Fire season can be found on the CFS website. www.cfs.sa.gov.au

15.01.2022 If you have a plan for yourself then that could be one less plan we need.

14.01.2022 Could be a little, could be a lot. Best to be prepared.

14.01.2022 Clare 34 appliance during a Simulated burn over drill. Our trucks now have some of the best safety systems available anywhere. Outside the temperature can be hotter than an oven, inside it’s air conditioned with fresh clean air to breathe.

13.01.2022 Clare CFS are on active standby at the station today ready to respond at a seconds notice. Thanks guys and girls for your commitment. Our bulk water tanker has already left for an incident.

10.01.2022 A very busy day and night for 750 CFS volunteers across the state. Congratulations to our new recruit Sarah on a job well done onboard our Clare 34 appliance at the Bute/Snowtown/Wards Hill fire last night. A special thanks to the amazing work done by an army of Farm Fire Units, without your efforts so much more property would have certainly been lost and we truly appreciate everything you do.

09.01.2022 As if today hasn’t been enough to process, tomorrow is a severe fire danger day and a Total Fire Ban has been declared for the Mid North along with several other areas. Please be safe. There is one thing that’s predictable, your CFS is an Essential Emergency Service so we are still there for you 24/7, with additional precautions in place to keep you and us as safe as possible. Thank you.

08.01.2022 A big shout out to all of our Volunteers and their family’s in particular. We couldn’t do the work we do without the support from the community and our volunteer’s family.

07.01.2022 This weekend Clare CFS hosted a BF1 training course for new recruits from across the region. Congratulations to the newest members of the CFS.

07.01.2022 Come down for a look at our locally made motoring history, grab something tasty from the bbq and meet some of your local CFS members. More info to come. Saturday 13th February 2021.

06.01.2022 FYI for all residents

05.01.2022 More pics from the training today.

02.01.2022 Awesome work team

02.01.2022 Tonight Clare CFS vehicles will be very active in the district. Please don’t be alarmed as it’s a training exercise only. However if you see or hear something that you would normally call 000 for, please do so as that probably won’t be part of our training exercise. We won’t be using real smoke or fire.

02.01.2022 It was a busy day for our amazing crews good job to everyone

01.01.2022 Hard to believe this was 6 months ago. Now we are in the depths of winter its the time to start thinking about becoming a CFS volunteer with Your Clare Brigade and best of all it doesn’t cost a cent, just a hour or 2 a week for training. It’s not just fires, we also support other emergency services so there’s never an off season. To find out more please message us via Facebook, messenger or visit the CFS website for more info.
