12.01.2022 Lupins are an integral part of the grain ration for my lambs. The ration composition this year has been 90% barley, 8% Lupins, and 2% Compass Feeds Feedlot Lamb Concentrate. The wether below averaged 392gms daily weight gain for the past 84 days. Because of the high % of protein in barley this year, a lower % of lupins is needed to lift protein levels, making it still very cost effective.

04.01.2022 The army delivering hay to fire victims on Kangaroo Island.

04.01.2022 Feeling for the locals on Kangaroo Island, many of who have been grain or ram clients. Its staggering to see (155 000ha) 30% of the island has been burnt with massive loses to farms / livestock and homes. If anymore needs hay or grain for stock, there is a charity organization that will cover cost of feed and transport. I'm currently discussing with some locals, will keep you posted.
