22.01.2022 This is just a reminder that your Taxable Payment Annual Report is due on the 28 August 2017. Businesses in the building and construction industry need to report the total payments they make to each contractor for building and construction services each year. You can lodge your Taxable Payments Annual report either online business portal or by completing a paper from Taxable Payments Annual Report (NAT 74109).... If you have any questions in relation to above, please dont hesitate to contact our office.

17.01.2022 Dont forget that you can claim superannuation contributions if you make a payment before 30.06.18 Eligibility rules You can claim a deduction for personal super contributions made on or after 1 July 2017 if:... you made the contribution to a complying super fund or a retirement savings account that is not a Commonwealth public sector superannuation scheme in which you have a defined benefit interest CPF or other untaxed fund that would not include your contribution in its assessable income super fund that notified the ATO before the start of the income year that they elected to treat all member contributions to the super fund as non-deductible, or the defined benefit interest within the fund as non-deductible you meet the age restrictions you notify your fund in writing of the amount you intend to claim as a deduction your fund acknowledges your notice of intent to claim a deduction in writing. call me if you would like to discuss this have a blessed day :)

10.01.2022 Hi everyone - yes I'm on Facebook as I have a very important message to all my business clients to help them with their tax planning Just a reminder that if you need to buy equipment or a car before the end of the financial year please make sure you do it before 30/6/17 because if it is under 20,000.00 you are able to write if off immediately - but only for this financial year Also don't forget to contribute to your super fund if you wish to claim it as a deduction before... the end of the financial year - call me to make sure what you are able to contribute as there are penalties if you go over the cap Have an awesome week and if you need further details please call me.

09.01.2022 For those who might be considering claiming a tax deduction for their personal superannuation contributions for the 2017-2018 financail year - here is some information from the ato:- Effects of claiming a deduction after 1 July 2017 - example During 201718 Christie is employed as a fulltime hairdresser and earns $40,000 in assessable income. Christie is eligible to claim a deduction for her personal superannuation contribution .... Christie contributes $5,000 to her super fund as a personal contribution. If she wanted to claim an income tax deduction for the super contribution, she would lodge a notice of intent to deduct and receive an acknowledgment from her fund. Having done this, Christie could claim a tax deduction of $5,000, making her taxable income $35,000. However, her fund would pay 15% tax on the $5,000, so only $4,250 would be credited to Christies super fund account. Additionally, Christie would be eligible for the low income superannuation tax offset, so the government would refund her offset into her super account. However, she would not be eligible for a super co-contribution. If Christie decided to claim a personal income tax deduction for $4,000 instead of the entire $5,000, this would mean: her taxable income would be $36,000 her fund would have to pay 15% tax on the $4,000, so $4,400 would be credited to her account she may be eligible for the super co-contribution in respect of the $1,000 that was not claimed as a deduction, in which case the government would pay her co-contribution entitlement into her super account she would be eligible for the low income superannuation tax offset, so the government would refund her offset into her super account. call me if you need to discuss :)
