24.01.2022 I love a bit of winter comfort food ... and it's hard not to eat A LOT in one go. So that I don't over do the calories, I hide vegetables from myself I made this recipe earlier tin the week and added: - 1 extra leek ... - 300g mushrooms - 1/2 head of cauliflower (really finely diced so it becomes like rice) Sometimes I will even mix in some baby spinach.

18.01.2022 There a cool little hack for scheduling in your healthy habits. Google Calendar Goals. I have been using this for about 12 months to schedule in my exercise and help me to be consistent. I am a checklist fiend and I love being able to see my 'Walk' or 'Yoga' goal with a big line through it. I even have one to remind to help me be more consistent in posting to Facebook. 11.01.2022 This quote is a personal fave of mine. While there are many ways you can look at these 4 words, this is how it's impacted me: Complaining is rarely productive. All it does is highlight the negative aspects of a situation or the ways in which I don't have control. Never complain reminds me to focus on the positives or how I can change/improve something. Explaining ourselves often causes a lot of angst. In reality, the reasons we do one thing or another are totally personal. Th...ose that matter won't mind and those that mind don't matter. You don't owe people an explanation for your choices. Obviously, there are exceptions (I realise that I am explaining my own quote selection, for example), but these 2 really help me to focus on the positive and avoid guilt / social influence.
09.01.2022 The past week and a half has been a challenging ... but in a good way. We welcomed a new member to our household . With our new housemate has come a change in routine, disrupted sleep and a lot a anxiety as we left him on his own for the first time. I noticed that this has a big impact on my food. I was missing meals to try and juggle work and puppy care, snacking on biscuits and pretty much living on coffee. ... 06.01.2022 I made this recipe to share with friends last week and liked it so much I did it again this week. I didn't have any basil so I gave that a miss and it was still awesome. ALSO: If you buy the Odd Bunch carrots from Woolworths this meal works out to be about $6 for 4 serves. $1.50 each!!!!!!! Take that budget!!
