24.01.2022 Making the workplace more human is really just another way of saying that we need to be more intentional about the way in which we interact with other people. Rushing from meeting to meeting, emailing rather than having dialogue and seeing to do lists ticked off as the height of achievement - this is not getting us the workplace cultures, engagement and experiences we want (or should I say crave). Tomorrow try setting yourself targets based on meaningful interactions with other people - start with an achievable 3 and see if you can add one every day until you reach 10. #leadership goals for #2020

18.01.2022 I've been in those meetings where there is little discussion or sharing of ideas, lots of vague nodding and I leave feeling that there was so much that wasn't said but needed to be said. They are hard work and they left me with the feeling that I was missing something important. A lot of the time I know I was. Getting the skills to confidently go into meetings and uncover the diverse thinking in the room and then use it to make better decision than I would have without it was a game changer. It got me past the point of "Not knowing what I didn't know" and as a bonus made people feel safe and valued. What are you doing to make diverse thinking the norm in your workplace?
