Our 20 graduates articulated so well about their challenges along with what they each have learnt throughout. Massive thanks to our trainers Ben and Traci-Lee who support our Year 10’s so well each Friday and to the Clare Bowling club for supporting us with the venue. 21.01.2022 RUNNER UP STATE CHAMPIONS Our CHS 8/9 and Open Netball Teams played in the State Knockout Championships today at Priceline Stadium. Both teams played in the Grand Final, unfortunately losing to stronger sides. Miss Lewis and Ms Liebelt are so proud of the girls and their outstanding display today. Thanks to our umpire and to all of our fabulous parents for their support along the way. More pictures to come

20.01.2022 YEAR 12 RETREAT: What a unique experience our Year 12 group had at La Storta in Sevenhill this week. With sessions including Study Skills, Mindfulness, Character Strengths, Team Building Activities, Future Planning, Time Capsules and Affirmations. A truly special group of students enjoyed a morning breakfast with Clare Lions and then finished the night at the Sevenhill Oval with a shared meal and group sharing activity. A huge thank you to Mrs Maynard for organising with all of the presenters

14.01.2022 It was fantastic to be able to have the CVCC Kindy students visit yesterday to have Ms Liebelt’s Year 10HPE students run a footy clinic for them as part of their Footy Colours celebrations. This fit in with the Year 10 Coaching and Leadership unit which focuses on our students completing their ASC Coaching and Officiating Courses

09.01.2022 Our Senior Art students recently participated in a Visual Arts Workshop facilitated by the Art Gallery of South Australia. Adelaide artist, Ruby Chew travelled to CHS to run an anatomy observational drawing workshop. Students were introduced to a range of techniques to help them with observational drawing using a range of media. Using a full model skeleton, affectionally named Burt, students completed numerous timed sketches and built up their skills to complete a more detailed, rendered charcoal artwork. It was an enjoyable day where students were able to focus on developing and refining their skills for a considerable amount of time. Thanks to Mrs Prokopec and Miss Mannion for organising such a great workshop

07.01.2022 Mrs Holland’s Year 8 Humanities class has been studying Medieval History over the past few weeks and concluded with - ‘A Night in the Museum’ where the displays became ‘live’. The students produced an artefact from the era, displaying their learning and understanding about different topics, including weapons, knights, the importance of farming and also reflecting on similarities of Covid and Black Death

Students also visited Arnold Brothers for a tour and irrigation talk for the students Year 12 Environmental Issues assignments. They finished off at the Loxton Adventure Playground. 04.01.2022 What a night! The grand finale of practicals for Mrs Hooper’s Year 12 Food and Hospitality students was held last night with a virtual world trip to Europe via the plate. Fantastic effort by the team, and so grateful they were able to host this event at Eldredge’s who so generously support our students. The CHS staff were amazed and we know Mrs Hooper is very proud of you all!
