13.01.2022 It was a day of surprises as the Handicap tournaments usually are, this time the ring-ins took centre stage with Chris an emergency replacement for Derry (inj) and Peta a late entry for Jill (inj). Four pools of 4 doubles battled it out for a place in the semi finals, then subsequently a final: SF: Stefan and Michelle Vs Greg and Peta SF: John and Sally Vs Chris and Anne... Final Chris and Anne def Greg and Peta 4-5 Congratulations to the winners, runners up and participants. Thanks to Captain Price for his effortless tournament preparation and organisation. Thanks to Jean for providing ad lib sustenance to all and to Pete and his merry band of blokes for a delicious Gimlet Grove steak and salad dinner. Thanks also to "The Fragments" and singer Sophia for music for the night which brought members to the dance floor for some groovin’ and interesting moves..a real treat.
