23.01.2022 The bushfires sweeping across the country are resulting in dense smoke haze and poor air quality in many areas. Most healthy people can withstand a short-term e...xposure to it, however those with pre-existing conditions such as asthma may need to take extra precautions. Our pharmacies, especially ones located within or nearby the bushfire areas have been inundated with requests from the public seeking high quality face masks that can help filter out the fine particles in smoke. Upon hearing this, Steven Kastrinakis our CEO acted quickly. He donned some casual sportswear for the day, and personally drove the big white van to pick up bulk quantities of the P2/N95 face masks! The masks have now been distributed to pharmacies in very high risk areas as priority, so local residents can obtain them at free of charge. Advantage Pharmacy is committed to supporting the Bushfire Relief. Let’s stand together. We want to minimise the risk of COVID-19 spread and want to avoid the possibility of multiple people touching the same product. Please bring a list, or phone ahead with your request, and a friendly staff member will gather the items for you. Alternatively, we can deliver over-the-counter items with your prescription requests. 13.01.2022 We are open but this is not business as usual. Things will look and feel a bit different for a while. The following changes are to ensure we are doing everything we can to keep our community and staff safe:... Customer entry and exit is now separated with our main entrance partitioned. Customers are asked to stand within a square marked on the floor - this is to ensure social distancing is observed Customers are asked not to select products directly off the shelf, our staff will do this for you. If you could arrive with a list of what you need that would be helpful. Prescription supply - we ask that you leave your scripts to be filled and come back to collect rather than wait in store. To reduce waiting times you may like to use our phone order service, Med Advisor app or home delivery service. We encourage you to leave your repeats at the pharmacy to make these services faster and easier. We have Perspex screens at our service counters to provide a protective barrier for you and our staff. We encourage customers to pay by eftpos or credit card if possible. We have made changes to our roster to make sure we can remain open even if a member of our team becomes unwell. If you need something from the pharmacy but do not feel comfortable to come in person, please phone us and we will do everything we can to make sure you have what you need. For same day delivery please phone before midday. After midday will be next day delivery.
