Nigel survived a 15 month hostage ordeal in Somalia between 2008-9 when he was working as a photo journalist. We look forward to hearing Nigel's story of strength and resilience. 02.01.2022 Welcome to the R100 Centenary Year. Rotary marks 100 years of Australian & NZ service in 2021. We have a proud history to celebrate. And it is a time to launch... special new projects, energise new action, attract new members and leverage with community partners in something special. The R100 campaign was conceived by PP Kevin Sheehan (RC Melbourne) ten years ago and it took all that time to create signature projects, social media campaigns, merchandise, stamps & coins and more. Rotary Give Every Child a Future, End Trachoma, the Rotary Aussie Peace Walk, 100 Peace Poles, a history book and the R100 Centenary Baton have all happened because of the R100 campaign. It is more than a big celebration. The R100 campaign was founded by Hugh Bucknall to make all this happen and is now managed by PDG Garry Browne (RC Sydney) with a national committee. And the patrons are Their Excellencies The Governor General and Mrs Hurley. A lot has been achieved. Now it's your turn. What is Your Centenary Project?
