25.01.2022 ********FOR OUR ANTENATAL LADIES********* As unfortunately our hydrotherapy pool has been closed for a while, we would like to invite you to reconnect through this FB site for our local pregnant ladies. Hopefully, Alana and Miriam can assist you with musculoskeletal issues, and you can chat to help each other along with other relevant information. However, Alana and Miriam are not midwives or obstetricians, so any advice regarding other pregnancy or childbirth issues should... be directed to your obstetric team. Meanwhile, other things we can offer are: - TENS lesson and hire for one month - Variety of pelvic supports - Measurement and supply to your house of SRC pregnancy or postnatal shorts or leggings in champagne or black (currently approx $190 including post). - If required a 1:1 physio session. 17.01.2022 The Australian Minister for Health Greg Hunt has today 23/3/20 confirmed that ALL allied Health businesses can continue working and are encouraged to do so. In addition he has indicated that they are now developing full Allied Health Telehealth options within the week for Allied Health along with all other health and medical services. Face to face services for many remain vital and so where possible we encourage you to continue.

12.01.2022 What’s Happening? The hydrotherapy pool will remain closed a little longer as we are currently about to empty the pool and resurface it on 18th May. This was planned for later in the year, but we managed to bring the renovations earlier and they are now actually starting on the same day some pools will be reopening in Tasmania. Already we have commenced with painting changing rooms, tiling etc. It will be difficult to assess exactly a pool reopening date, but we hope to refil...l, reheat and get pre-opening procedures done by 10 to 14 days later. We will send you the information by e mail and on our Clarence Joint Therapy Face book page as soon as we know. A Big Big Thank You for your patience! PS Some current TAS health restrictions that came through yesterday also BAN THE USE OF CHANGING ROOMS! Hopefully, this will change in the next 2 -3 weeks too.

11.01.2022 GREAT NEWS. In TASMANIA from Midday this Friday 26th change rooms ARE allowed and the 4 sq metre rule reduced to 2 sq metres so we should have more room in our rooms! 8 in Ladies in the room at a time. 3 in Men's and two the green room that could be shared. Solved having to draw lots to see who could use them! May be a rush on people coming after 12 on Friday:)

10.01.2022 Our Antenatal pool exercise classes are up and running Monday and Thursdays and we have a last minute rush of 8 ladies all due in July. Glad you could get a few sessions in and hope it helps get you through the last part more comfortably.

10.01.2022 Over this Easter Weekend we hope that you are able to stay connected with family and friends, stay engaged in current State health recommendations and STAY SAFE. Australia is named the "Lucky" country for good reason. Unlike most of the world we have a great start on many places in controlling/ managing this awful thing called COVID19 and things ARE looking positive but it will take time..... Take advantage of the time, if you have it, to learn new IT skills to connect with others, do free courses on line, learn a new hobby, and to keep fit and healthy with walks and/ or exercise as a regular part if your daily routine, so it becomes just like brushing your teeth (presuming you do)!

09.01.2022 Congratulations to Jorden with her new born huggable Henry in our Monday 6pm session: "This is Henry, born on the 14th November. Thank you so much for the classes, I thoroughly enjoyed them and they really helped ease my discomfort during pregnancy. The ladies in my 6pm class were so wonderful and it was great to have their company and conversations".

09.01.2022 Have been asked by many for pictures of Massage Therapist, receptionist and daughter- Erin Fletcher's 30th Birthday at Ben Lomand. So here goes....

09.01.2022 The Benefits of Physiotherapy Telehealth may be surprising to some, but on reflection at least half or more of our land consultations and perhaps even 1/3 of our pool consultations are assessing and discussing how to manage a problem with the rest of the time spent on manual therapy/ exercise and reassessment followed by note taking or letter writing. All but the manual therapy can be replaced by a telehealth consultation and even pool exercises can be adapted somewhat to lan...d exercises. Even if you are not sure - any advice/ discussion and alternatives are better than nothing. If you are worried about managing your problems without attending physiotherapy please feel free to ring us and we can organise a session for you. Private health insurance will assist in payment if you are a current client otherwise a referral is required. Medicare and DVA clients are also covered. On arrangement with the MAIB we have also have telehealth for car accident victims. Unfortunately classes and groups are not covered yet as we hoped to do some group exercise sessions on telehealth. 05.01.2022 This has been a trying year for many. Reach out if you need help

04.01.2022 Hello Hydrotherapy People! We will possibly be reopening the Clarence Joint Therapy Hydrotherapy pool on Tues. 9th June. Our pool opening hours will probably be 8- 1pm to start and they will depend upon the numbers of people willing and able to come (we would currently easily have pool bookings for up to 7 per half hour in the pool as our pool is 80 sq metres) with the preference of arriving in bathers and using toilets are that are allowed .... However currently CHANGING ROOMS ARE NOT ALLOWED due to State Health Dept. restrictions. If they were allowed there would be a 20 min max time allowance in the change rooms to enable be all out by 10 min before the next group arrives. As physiotherapy practice we can however, UNLIKE SWIMMING POOLS, limit the numbers in our changing rooms with our booking systems and still adhere to physical distancing and the 4sq metre regulations. If the lack of changing room facilities will affect your ability to attend and maybe also if your health has deteriorated since the pool was closed, can you please explain why you would have difficulty with no changing rooms and how your health has been affected by email or phone call to Sarah Courtney Tasmanian Minister for Health Phone: (03) 6777 1013 [email protected] As we are a medical facility with a hydrotherapy pool rather than swimming pool, we hope that the restrictions on using changing rooms can be lifted for you. However, some people may chose not to use the changing rooms but we need to know what facilities we can offer before reopening. Hoping to see you soon, Miriam Fletcher Owner and Physiotherapist Clarence joint Therapy
