15.01.2022 What I love about our work at Dandarrga Nursery are the volunteers. They bring their skills, their tools and their enthusiasm to a whole range of projects, usin...g a lot of recycled and re-purposed materials. (and thanks to Bridget for the window!) This new tool shed has "grown" in November, with the hard work of Iain White, Ronny Cox and Nadia Camatta. Big thanks to you both, and to anyone else who has helped on this project. Together we are stronger. See more

05.01.2022 New Emu warning sign now in place on Brooms Head road Taloumbi. Thank you Clarence Valley Council for taking a giant step forward in helping save our endanger...ed local Emus. The sign arrived just in time to advise new drivers heading out to explore Brooms Head. Sadly all of our previous hand made signs were stolen recently. I photographed these two emus pictured on the 16/12/20 and at the same time there was a father with chicks in the cane field. The emus are very active at the moment and have been now for weeks gone by. If you see emus on or beside the road simply drive past them very slowly as truly they can change direction in a moment. Do not stop unless you have to as this will spook the emus which could cause an accident. If you must take photos please do this from within your vehicle. Getting out of the vehicle will spook the emu. You cant help an emu thru these road crossing situations. You are better off moving on slowly and allowing the emu to figure out their road and fence problems by them selves. You can be helpful tho by advising drivers of the dangers ahead from a distance. We would rather re-use than buy more plast...ic, so we're doing a call out to all those good people, gardeners and tree planters, to bring your unused 70ml Forest Tubes and round Space Saver pots in to #dandarrganursery Thanks!

This memorial award is an opportunity to showcase the wonderful work that a group or person has achieved, not only this year but in previous years and allow this work to be recognised. Nominations close on Monday 23rd November, 2020 11.00am. You will need to complete the official nomination form.
