23.01.2022 What has the first few days of 2021 taught you? The smallest experiences have the biggest details in them, and these details are the foundation of your lessons this year. I for one have learnt in the last few days that when I subconsciously accommodate others, I shift into my "people pleasing" mode. I forget to ask myself whether that is a positive thing to do. Then I become bogged down with everyone's demands, and then I get angry and resentful. The reality I am realising is that it is impossible to meet everyone's needs as well as my own. So I have to manage the "people pleasing" approach and learn to be respectful enough of myself to say "No" when I really need to. This is the lesson I continue to learn in 2021.
