PRODUTTORI DEL BARBARESCO Made from Nebbiolo, dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Intense aromatics of rose petals, red cherries, raspberries and hints of liquorice intermingle with scorched earth, fragrant garden herbs and spice. Tight and linear in it’s feel, red cherry and wild raspb...erry fruits infused with fresh herbs are backed by stern tannins and vibrant acidity. Elements of scorched earth, iron, subtle tobacco and spice sit in the background. Finishes firm, dry and tense with a somewhat austere yet long aftertaste. 11.01.2022 @younggunofwine BEST AUSSIE RIESLINGS .... 2020 Plan B! ‘OD’ Riesling, Frankland River Nadeson and Latta both rated this wine well. Fresh, lacy, delicate and almost fragile, with wonderful aromas and flavours of lemon sorbet and ginger spice, wrote Nadeson. A very appealing wine that would be incredibly pleasing with your favourite xiao long bao. Subtle bouquet on the nose, noted Latta, so not sure what to expect but pleasant palate. Has that young green fruits with natural vine ripeness. Feels like a young vine wine that’s been picked at the right time. I don’t see any confusion about what the balance of sweetness/acidity should be. Clean, easy, pleasant. Not pushing the boundaries, just decent wine. Really lifted
