25.01.2022 Hello Clare Valley parkrunners! How are you? We hope you have managed to find lots of positives in your week. As you know we won’t be running or walking together tomorrow but we hope you manage to fit 5kms into your day sometime.... Meanwhile we thought we’d introduce you to the newest Clare Valley parkrun dog - Buster. He can’t wait to meet you when we get back together at parkrun soon #wereallinthistogether #loveparkrun

25.01.2022 Something fun to do whilst enjoying your morning or afternoon cuppa

25.01.2022 With parkruns return in SA only 2 weeks away, who was inspired to head out for a 5k this morning? Did you know while parkrun has been paused you can log any 5km runs/walks you do in a week as a (not)parkrun? I logged my first (not)parkrun this morning and it was easy to do. Just go to www.parkrun.com/signin and log in to your parkrun profile, then click on the tab for (not)parkrun and enter your time. Done Let’s see how many (not)parkruns we can log for Clare Valley parkrun in these final weeks before we start back .

24.01.2022 Happy 4th Anniversary Clare Valley parkrun Tell us, how did you celebrate today? Did you run/walk 5kms? Did you see any fellow parkrunners? Did you wear your milestone top? 24.01.2022 Have you done your Christmas shopping yet? We think a parkrun flatband would make a great stocking stuffer. Even better, they’ll make scanning quick and easy at the finish line

24.01.2022 To get Clare Valley parkrun back up and running on 21st November we need to fill our volunteer roster. We’re looking for people to do the following: Timekeeper Finish Tokens... Tailwalker Photographer And a new position - First Timers briefing. Volunteers that do this position can still participate in the run/walk. It’s a great volunteer position - you welcome any first timers to parkrun, let them know the ins and outs of how we operate, and encourage their return to be a part of our fabulous community. If you want to know more about this role or if you’re keen to fill any spots on the roster, drop a comment below or send a message to [email protected] parkrun has also introduced a Covid-19 volunteer code (see below). It’s fairly straightforward but if there are any questions please let us know. The main difference is we will be app only for timekeeping and barcode scanning from now on. So if you’d like to fill these roles please download the Virtual Volunteer app to your phone and have a play with it to see for yourself it’s ease of use. Any questions, please ask. Can’t wait to have you back volunteering at Clare Valley parkrun soon

23.01.2022 #parkrunchat time. Tell us, how did you spend your non-parkrun Easter Saturday morning? Did you run, walk, push a pram, walk a dog or ride a bike? Did you get outside? Did you see the Easter Bunny? Let us know below. Let’s stay connected

22.01.2022 #parkrunchat time! Tell us .... did you get out for a run/walk this morning? Did you get out with the kids, the pram, the dog, or solo for some calm and restoration? Where did you go? We’d love to hear how you're spending your non-parkrun Saturday morning

21.01.2022 It’s official, all parkrun events in Australia cancelled till the end of March. Keep well everyone, look after yourselves and your families and we will run/walk and volunteer together soon

19.01.2022 A little while longer...

18.01.2022 Latest update from parkrun HQ re COVID-19 and possible parkrun cancellations

17.01.2022 I was on the Trail early on this foggy Saturday morning and saw Brooke, Kimberley and Giulio running and DM was on his bike (he was pedalling too fast for a photo!). What did others do to get their exercise fix this weekend? Sue

17.01.2022 Good morning Clare Valley parkrunners!! It’s #parkrunchat time. Tell us, how did you fill your non-parkrun Saturday morning? Did you run, walk, bike ride? Where did you go? Did you see any other parkrunners? Lachlan and I ran 8.5ks along the Riesling Trail and through Sevenhill Cellars. Challenging in places but a fabulous start to the day. Even saw quite a few parkrunners out on the trail (socially distanced of course)... Would love to hear of your adventures. Let’s stay connected by sharing Take care all

16.01.2022 With parkrun’s restart less than a week away we still have 2 volunteer positions that need filling for us to go ahead this coming Saturday 21st November - timekeeper and photographer. Can you help? Volunteering is fun, a great way to get to know other parkrunners, and it can be good for your mental health too. There’s no need to be worried about knowing how to do a position, the Run Director on the day will talk you through it, and be there throughout the event to guide and s...upport you. If you’re keen to help, let us know below in the comments, send us a DM, or email [email protected] Can’t wait to see our volunteers back in the orange vests next weekend

13.01.2022 Think we are doing a great job staying connected... let’s keep it going! Miss you all!

12.01.2022 We will be together again!

12.01.2022 Tomorrow would’ve been our 4th Anniversary Clare Valley parkrunners. 4 years of parkrun on the wonderful Riesling Trail. 4 years of running and walking and PBs and milestone tees. 4 years of community, and friendships.... 4 years of post-run coffee, cake and bakery treats whilst we chat, laugh and connect. We can’t celebrate together unfortunately but we can still get outside and run or walk our 5kms. We are encouraging you to do this tomorrow even more than previous weekends, and we would love you to wear your milestone top if you have one, or wear milestone colours if you don’t (red, purple, black, white, green, blue etc). Let’s celebrate together but separately

12.01.2022 In case you missed it on the parkrun Australia FB page, we thought we’d share this piece of gold to help you kick off your Thursday with a giggle. Happy Thursday Clare Valley parkrunners. See you back here Saturday for some non-parkrun chat

12.01.2022 When Clare Valley parkrun does eventually restart, there’s a few things we are asking participants to be mindful of. Please have a quick read of the Covid-19 Walker and runner code below

11.01.2022 Today marked our 7th Saturday without a parkrun. How’s everyone holding up? Are you still getting out and keeping active? Share below what you’ve been up to and how you’re staying motivated. We’d love to hear from you and feel free to share some pics too

11.01.2022 We understand that there is a lot of sadness in the parkrun community due to there being no parkrun tomorrow. For many of us, parkrun is not just the run/walk. It is about our community, our connections, and our coffee So whilst parkrun is cancelled for now, we want to keep the connection and conversations going. We also want to encourage all our parkrunners to continue exercising - both are so important during these uncertain times. If you head out over the weekend let us... know about it. Comment below and tell us - How far did you go? What time did you do? What did you see? Share your stats. We’d love to hear all about your adventures. Share a pic or two if you’d like too. We must reiterate previous messages from parkrun HQ please DO NOT congregate at our usual starting point at 8am on Saturday morning. Please act responsibly. Practice social distancing. Why not have a sleep in and run later. Try somewhere new that you haven’t explored before. We are so lucky to have over 30kms of the Riesling Trail to explore, not to mention the great tracks in Spring Gully Conservation Park. Don’t forget to also try and continue supporting Clare Rise Bakery where possible. Pop in for a takeaway coffee, some bread, or a sweet treat. Stay healthy, be kind and look out for each other And please, share your weekend running/walking adventures below

10.01.2022 Good morning parkrunners! Well we got very close to restarting this coming Saturday but due to the government’s restrictions put in place yesterday, parkrun’s return to South Australia has been delayed a minimum of 2 weeks. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates. We will post the new restart date when we know it.... Meanwhile keep safe, keep washing your hands, and keep walking and running if you can. Take care

08.01.2022 Well it’s the same but better than not! See link below! Hope to see you all soon!

07.01.2022 Even though our regular Sat morning coffee together will stop for a while- don’t forget to continue to support Clare Rise Bakery!Even though our regular Sat morning coffee together will stop for a while- don’t forget to continue to support Clare Rise Bakery!
