25.01.2022 Putting together a killer 2020 summary piece. Even though I didn’t do as many weddings as initially had planned for season 2020, the weddings I actually did get to shoot were seriously insanely good and I got to meet some truly awesome people, witness beautiful love and work with some legendary vendors.

19.01.2022 The close up portrait: The majority of people aren’t fans of a camera being propelled 40 cms away from their face. The solo portrait. I believe there’s two options to approach this! 1. Shot with a telephoto lens, 85mm and up and you’re still a good 5 metres or more away or, 2. Shoot slightly wider and get your subject comfortable in front of the camera. Give them time to warm to the idea of being photographed and at the end come in closer... and get those close up/ detail shots. Every person is different, some are much more willing to having a camera pushed up into their personal space. See more

13.01.2022 Congrats Michelle and Luke on your stunning wedding. On Friday Feb 12th when Melbourne went into a snap 5 day, stage 4 lockdown, Leanne (pictured here on the right) who’s wedding I shot in December 2018 called me. I thought it was rather odd but it turns out that her identical twin Michelle was supposed to be married on Saturday February 13th. Of course that was no longer going to happen and their original photographer was not available on February 20th so our super fun and ...talented associate photographer Georgia filled in and photographed Michelle’s wedding at a weeks notice. I was already booked to shoot another beautiful wedding so Georgia stepped in and absolutely saved everyone’s butts on photo and highlight video duties. Thank you Georgia!!!! I think 2021 will be a year of change and although plans are in place, in Melbourne we are almost planning week to week. So please remember that some are doing it really tough and super stressed as plans are thrown into chaos and the unknown is playing on everyone’s minds. Be kind and one day you just never know when you’ll need help with a situation. CONGRATS MICHELLE + LUKE
