25.01.2022 It's never too early to start thinking about teacher Christmas presents. Especially when licensed fabric like this can be hard to find These were made for a primary school teacher for the reading corner in her classroom.
23.01.2022 Hi everyone, these masks were made in the wrong size. They are XL. Shoot me a message if you would like them for $12 each.
22.01.2022 With the second round of lockdowns my sister lives on the other side of the bridge and asked me for some masks as a precaution.
21.01.2022 If you are unsure about what size to select for masks. Here's a guide from the pattern I use to help you select.
20.01.2022 I have been getting a few inquiries about masks. So I thought I'd create an album of fabric that I have available. Masks are $15 each if you choose from this selection. Otherwise I will need to let you know as it comes into fabric costs. I also have lots of solid colours.
19.01.2022 So, what have people been up to during their isolation? I have been making lots of pyjamas during my i-sew-lation. Here's one pair that I made for Patrick
19.01.2022 Did everyone have a good Mothers Day? I had a great day with the kids largely ignoring me which meant that I could do whatever I wanted for the day. So I finished off 3 more pairs of flannelette pyjamas! Happy Mothers Day to all the mums out there!
17.01.2022 This is the style of mask that I'm making. You can either have elastic (as shown) or long ties if you find over the ears annoying.
16.01.2022 Here is this weekends sewing. Both boys got to choose their fabric and they're super happy with the update. I love my eldests sense of style. Currently he's into both unicorns and rainbows and camo.
14.01.2022 Custom made isn't always about making pretty things. Sometimes it's about getting a better fit for everyday items. These school pants are a size 8 wide and 10 long for a tall and super skinny boy. Double knee with side seam pockets.
14.01.2022 I have been coming up with alternative lessons for Stephen while I'm trying to work from home. He has been asking to learn how to sew for a while. So, today I took the opportunity to start teaching him. He's sewing on lines on a piece of paper.
13.01.2022 Hi everyone, as you can imagine with the announcement yesterday orders have been flooding in. I went from finishing off the last 1 - 2 mask orders to now having a 1.5 - 2 week waiting time for orders. I am still taking more orders but please be aware that there are long lead times as I work through them. Thank you for your patience.
11.01.2022 I'll stop keeping you in suspense (I'm also excited to show this one). We went with..... Yellow! Size 6 on a size 4 mannequin which is why it's so loose.
10.01.2022 I saw this and had to share...
08.01.2022 When you love spiderman so much and you have leftover material from making your curtains, you ask mummy to turn it into a jacket for you.
03.01.2022 This weekends project. Size 4 winter jacket.
03.01.2022 I have been quite for a while. Been struggling to find enough time to do much sewing. Here's something I made last night. It's a Waluigi hat for a costume! It's super big on my models because it's a large adult size.
02.01.2022 The devil is in the details. It's amazing how such a small thing can change the entire look of something. Was agonising over which colour piping to put on a pair of pjs. Both look good and accentuate different parts of the fabric. Which would you have chosen? White or yellow? Will show everyone the final product and reveal which one I went with tomorrow.
01.01.2022 This weekend I needed something to calm my mind down so that I could process everything that was going on. Stephen asked me for this jacket a while ago. He is a very happy customer. It's a bit big but that was deliberate as it was a new pattern and I didn't know how true to size it was and didn't want to waste either the wool coating or the mermaid scales inside. Gotta love a pixie hood!
