24.01.2022 Today we said farewell to our much loved and loyal friend Rod Thom, who will ride off into the sunset with his caravan in tow to the land of retirement!!! Rod has been a part of the Clark Homes family for 11 years, he has been so valued and important to our company and will always be a treasured friend. We wish him and wife, Lois, all the best for their retirement years. 16.01.2022 Designing a new home for our family has been somewhat difficult to say the least; only because I am a design enthusiast that has a love of way too many design styles. Its like I have had too many tabs open in my brain with sooooooo many different ideas. Being in the old coastal town of Queenscliff has caused some angst as well because I want the house to blend in and suit its surroundings. Although I have had a basic floor plan drawn up for nearly 10 months now, I really nee...ded to get down to the finer details as I like to have them all planned out and detailed so there is no confusion when the build starts, especially between the builder and the designer I really adore the design of Mid Century Modern, Modern Coastal, Scandinavian, Modern Monastery and Japanese Minimalism, but I couldnt pin it down to just one. They do all have a couple of things in common though; clean and minimalist, clutter free, light and airey yet warm and cozy, and definitely not a lot of colour. The exterior of the home will definitely have that Modern Coastal vibe; white lineaboards with large windows, but I wanted to change it up in the interior. So after much overthinking, Ive decided to go with a design style that combines all of the above into one........Japandi I think its a fusion of all of the design styles I adore, one that finds perfection in the imperfection. It combines a light, warm and neutral colour palette with the craftsmanship of traditional decor, raw and textured materials and simple and natural elements. Whilst I now have inspiration to move forward, who knows how long it will be before we start; still trying to find that special buyer Ill probably change my mind again beforehand So what this style also lends its hand to, is the feeling of having a blank canvas. 07.01.2022 Our recently completed project in Queenscliff. The Timber House, beautifully designed by Buro Architects, boasts timber externally, but also in its interior. Our favorite part would have to be the very special first floor deck at the rear, which looks out to gorgeous views of Swan Bay and Queenscliff. What a perfect place to watch the sunrise with your morning coffee! We love it, and so do our lovely clients

02.01.2022 This very cool project in Moolap is now complete. We handed it over to our very special clients as the glorious winter sun shone through the expansive double glazed black aluminum windows from Rylock. The extension/renovation cleverly designed by Dylan Barber Building Design lets just the right amount of natural sunlight indoors in winter whilst the massive timber lined roof will shade the home in summer. The original house was gutted to make way for a beautifully modern tra...nsformation and a massive kitchen/dining/living space was renovated at the rear. The photos just do not do this home justice, it is just outstanding! Once the pool and landscaping is completed, this will be an entertainers dream! A big thanks to our suppliers and trades for a beautiful job. Once again our team has done us proud.
