16.01.2022 Earlier in the day Irene held her Melbourne Cup high tea fundraiser, which was enjoyed immensely by all that attended. The event raised $337 which will be dona...ted to the Rotary Foundation. Thank you Irene and to all that assisted and attended this event. Another fabulous and fun night. Melbourne Cup theme set the scene that was worthy of any Fashion on the field event. Well done and you all looked amazing in all your finery and exciting hats and fascinators. Thank You to Peter Agar for stepping in as photographer whilst Bob is busily working on the 2021 Centenary Book. A definite highlight tonight was presenting Gateway Family services with a cheque for $8,000 that will provide much support to their Essential Hamper program for Christmas. Also presented $360 gift cards on behalf of our generous member's winnings from a recent online Trivia event we attended and won. Acting CEO Terese Klynhout spoke how our club has supported Gateway for 15 years. Thank you to all the Gateway team that came along tonight. Thank you to Irene and Karalyn, who organised the Melbourne Cup games tonight. The horses were made up of various breeds including one with a purple mane!. Great fun and lots of laughter. Thanks ladies.
