22.01.2022 FOR SALE..... A modern classic..... 2008 ALFA ROMEO SPIDER JTS V6... THE STORY In the words of Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear you are not a true petrol-head until you have owned an Alfa Voted the most beautiful car at Geneva Motor Show and designed by Giorgetto Guigairo (car designer of the century) and Pinninfarina, this car was an instant classic the day it rolled out of the factory. It was the most expensive Alfa you could buy in Australia at the time with a list price of $94,990 (manual version). Engine choices were a 3.2 litre JTS V6 (260 Bhp) or a 2.2 litre JTS 4 cylinder (185 Bhp) and a 6-speed automatic or manual gearbox was available. The electronically retracting fabric roof disappears in 29 seconds, seat heaters were standard as was climate control, cruise control, premium leather upholstery, a Bose sound system with 10-disc changer, remote central locking and electronic seat adjustment. The Spider had two-stage front and side airbags and a driver's knee airbag, ABS brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution and anti-slip regulation as well as Alfa's version of an electronic stability program, known as vehicle dynamic control. Rear parking sensors and rain-sensing wipers were standard and the V6 had bi-xenon headlights. The V6 version of the Spider also had permanent all-wheel-drive as standard and a system of three differentials sending 57% of torque to the rear wheels - keeping with the car's performance aspirations - and 43% to the front. Double wishbone front and multilink rear suspension keep the car flat and composed when pushed hard into corners. Only 2,559 Spiders were produced in 2008. THE CAR Sold new in Sydney to prominent family and purchased by the current owner 4 years ago, this example has always been garage kept. Serviced locally in South Australia by an acknowledged Alfa/Ferrari expert, this rare Alfa is totally original and unmolested. 21.01.2022 FOR SALE...... 1971 FORD MUSTANG 351ci CONVERTIBLE THE STORY... 1971 heralded the last restyling of the first generation Mustang. The car grew in size, gaining 3 inches in width in order to accommodate Ford’s big block 429ci (7.0 litre) engine without the need to rework the car’s suspension. These cars had long, broad hoods, truncated rear ends and thick-waisted styling which blended classic Mustang elements with Italian GT cues. The car’s weight increased due to tightening safety regulations and Ford's marketing efforts concentrated on new styling and features such as hidden windshield wipers, colour keyed racing mirrors and strategically placed appliques designed to accent the new design. There were 4 engine options including the 351ci (5.8 litre) "Cleveland" V-8, which had a 9.0 to 1.0 compression ratio and 4.0 x 3.50-inch bore and stroke, 240hp at 4,600 RPM and 350-lbs.ft. of torque at 2,600 RPM. The 1971 convertible would be the last year that Ford would produce a Mustang with a soft top for over a decade. All convertibles were equipped with a power top and a glass rear window. Of the 149,678 Mustangs produced in 1971, only 6,121 (or 4%) were convertibles. THE CAR Imported into Australia over 10 years ago by its current owner, this is believed to be an original miles car. Powered by its original Cleveland 351ci engine, this car is powerful and its smooth automatic transmission and sorted suspension make it a delight to drive. This Mustang looks tough with its optional Ram Air hood package with two NASA type hood scoops, twist style bonnet looks and Tu-Tone paint treatment. Other features include Magnum 500 wheels (including the spare) with brand new BF Goodrich tyres, a white convertible power top with original rear glass window, power front disc brakes and power steering. The original two-tone blue knitted vinyl interior is comfortable, there is a blue boot to cover the convertible top when in the down position the car has air conditioning (needs re-gassing). An extremely affordable V8 convertible Mustang that looks the part and will only increase in value as these early 70’s Mustangs continue to appreciate in the US. 21.01.2022 FOR SALE....... 1946 INDIAN CHIEF THE STORY... The Indian Chief is a motorcycle that was built by the Hendee Manufacturing Company and the subsequent Indian Motorcycle Company from 1922 to the end of the company's production in 1953. The Chief was Indian's "big twin", a larger, more powerful motorcycle than the more agile Scout used in competition and sport riding. The now-legendary V-twin 1946 Indian Chief motorcycle emerged as Indian's flagship model after World War II and the popular design relegated the American company's four-cylinder and smaller V-twin models to history. The 1946 model was similar to pre-war big Indians; the engine remained a 74-cubic-inch flathead and tank graphics were unchanged. As always, "Indian Red" was a popular colour choice however owners could order a Chief in any Dupont colour they liked. Two-tone finishes were also available. New for the 1946 Chief motorcycle was girder-style could-spring forks adopted from Indian's radical 841 model that had been designed for desert use by the U.S. military during the war. Production of Indian motorcycles ended with the last Chief made in 1953. THE BIKE Indian’s first and only production model after World War II. Finished in sparkling Seafoam Blue this 1946 Indian Chief has its original, legendary 1,205cc V-Twin 74ci flat head engine and three speed gearbox. This is a number’s matching bike with the engine number matching the frame number. The bike sports girder-style spring forks which provided more wheel travel (5 inches) than pre-war models, coupled with rear plunger suspension on soft springs. The suspension setup was legendary at the time and earned this model the title of the "world’s most comfortable touring bike". Wearing white wall tyres she has a Corbin speedometer and retains her original 6-volt power setup with battery and coil ignition. This bike also has a locking toolbox and front crash bars. A superbly clean example, she starts, runs and stops easily. A extremely sought after Indian motorcycle. SPECIFICS BODY: Mono ENGINE: 1,205 cc V-Twin FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM: Carburetor TRANSMISSION: 3 speed FORK: Girder-Style Spring Fork PAINT: Seafoam Blue CONDITION: Immaculate, Number's Matching PRICE: $52,000 https://cmstudio.com.au/automobiles/1946-indian-chief/

The HZ Holden was produced in Australia between October 1977 and April 1980 by Holden with a variety of equipment levels and in several different body styles. There were two special packages available based upon commercial vehicle platforms the Sandman Ute and the Sandman Panel Van. The Sandman concept was aimed squarely at the Aussie male youth market and proved an instant hit. Special features included a choice of V8 engines either 4.2 litre (253ci) or 5.0 litre (308ci) - along with a four-headlight grille and under bumper front spoiler. A three-speed manual transmission was standard with a four-speed manual or three speed Turbo- Hydromatic auto optional. By the end of 1979, the Sandman had lost its place in the contemporary Australian youth culture sales orders slumped and many of the vehicles were sold with the stripes and tailgate logos deleted.
