25.01.2022 On Monday 23 November we convened our last club meeting for 2020. Members and their spouses/partners will attend an end-of-year celebratory dinner on Monday 14 December, and then our club will break until our first meeting of 2021 on Monday 11 January. You'll find the directions to our new meeting venue and a list of all 2021 club meeting dates on our website: https://clayfieldtoastmasters.org.au/directions.html. We look forward to seeing you in the new year!

25.01.2022 NEWS FLASH: Change of venue tonight. In our quest to find a new venue one that can accommodate our growing club now that COVID restrictions have eased to allow us to return to on-site meetings tonight we'll trial the second alternative venue we're considering. Send us a message to get all the details.

23.01.2022 Did you make a New Year's resolution to improve your self-confidence, communication skills, and ability to speak in front of groups? Clayfield Toastmasters Club can help you! At our meeting on Monday 24 February 2020, 6.45pm, our club's president, Ally Hannon, will practise her amazing speech that won the area contest and will hopefully win the upcoming division contest. Robert Green, our immediate past president, will deliver an educational presentation on impromptu speaking, and then we'll practise the skills in the 'Table Topics' segment. 20.01.2022 We're looking forward to a fun and entertaining meeting tonight, Monday 9 March 2020: Harry will practise the speech he'll deliver at his son's wedding, and John will deliver another speech from the Pathways education programme. We'll also have a few first-time guests who'll undoubtedly be a little nervous, but will soon find they're in good company and the right place to gain self-confidence in speaking before groups.

19.01.2022 Wow! At our 23 November meeting we welcomed 5 guests, 2 visiting Toastmasters, and received a membership application. We also enjoyed a new member's very first speech, the "ice breaker", and an experienced member's practise speech for the upcoming Humorous Speech Contest. What a great night!

19.01.2022 Calling out to all Toastmasters. Here's a club in formation that meets at the same venue as the Clayfield Toastmasters Club. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon, than networking with Toastmasters and learning new presentation skills?

18.01.2022 Gympie is only two hours from Brisbane by car, or three hours by train. Itll be worth the trip.

18.01.2022 After I joined the Kilele Toastmasters Club in Nyeri, Kenya, and took on a few speaking and meeting roles, I was quick to notice certain parallels between Toas...tmasters’ education program and surgical training across the world. The Toastmasters program centers on four pillars: experiential learning, self-paced learning, peer feedback, and mentoring. These tenets are also at the heart of surgical training.
