25.01.2022 Not everything can go to plan, even the rescuer can need rescuing. Our Pozi-track and winch went to rescue two stuck 4WDs down the back of Glasshouse Mountians. Access was slippery and boggy but Pozi got in with ease, winching the first 4WD out. As the 4WD didnt go he towed it clear, but luck went against us with the Pozi blowing a hydraulic line up under its belly guards, stopping it in its tracks. Unable to access the hydraulic line, and being in the middle of the bush our only choice was to send big Bertha in which we knew would struggle. We put another pozi on the back to assist if it got stuck. Big Bertha did have a few challenges but in the end both 4WDs plus one dead Pozi were recovered, with a fair bit of mud to be cleaned off. 25.01.2022 Bruce Highway Nambour , south bound, closed near Kiel Mtn Overpass. 4wd and Caravan Crash. Diversions through Nambour being put in place. Updates to come. Road clear, Highway open again.

25.01.2022 Always come across sad storys like this gentleman who decided he needed to get away, sold everything up, set up a van and 4wd to head off for a trip around the country. Just started trip and North of Gympie on the highway his engine stopped and the flames started. Luckily he was able to get out but was unable to stop the fire, and had to watch the fire engulf the vehicle and everything in it. The Fire Service was able to stop the caravan from being totally destroyed but just like a house fire people travelling Iike this can lose so many things that cant be replaced when vehicle fires occur.

24.01.2022 Caution, Bruce Highway Pomona, Southbound, crash, lanes closed. Traffic Banking up.

24.01.2022 Clayton's Caboolture Depot recovering a 4wd and caravan off the highway last night, that had been involved in a crash earlier in the day. The unit had got the wobbles up and ended up in a tangled mess down the bottom of a steep embankment, with the best part of everyone being all ok. Tow trucks were able to complete side pulls to keep the highway totally open during the process, but no doubt both units will be write offs.

20.01.2022 Absolute mayhem south of Rockhampton near Miriam vale today with two major crashes within a few hundred metres of each other. Our team responded with 12 heavy tow trucks plus our Major Incident Response unit working tirelessly through the day to clean up what was described as like a war zone. Main thing though is we all put our thoughts and prayers with those operators involved fighting serious injuries they received in just trying to do their job.
