24.01.2022 The energy sector is rapidly transforming and we’ve now reached an important tipping point. Energy is vital to all communities and industries. Affordability, reliability, accessibility and the overall resilience of our energy systems are major factors in the day to day lives of every Queenslander and every business operator. Our CEO, Maia Schweizer, will be delivering a keynote address about Queensland’s energy future and CleanCo’s role in the energy transition at a breakfas...t event hosted by the Infrastructure Association of Queensland on 18 November 2020. Maia will be joined by industry colleagues, Felicity Underhill, Joseph O’Brien, Darren Rogers and Paul Greaney. 20.01.2022 NAIDOC week is an opportunity to embrace our vast, deep and extensive history and celebrate First Nations Australians, the oldest continuing culture in world. This year’s theme Always Was, Always Will Be recognises that First Nations Australians have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. While CleanCo is a new business, we own energy generation assets with deep roots within the community. We are looking forward to building relationships with the Traditional Owners of the land and waterways where our energy assets operate and the opportunity to work collaboratively to support their aspirations.

15.01.2022 At the time of commissioning in 2002, our Swanbank E Power Station was the most efficient power station in Australia. We continue to uphold practices to reduce the impact on the environment and are continuing to look for ways to improve efficiency. We use recycled water for all of Swanbank E’s cooling needs. CleanCo took ownership of the Swanbank E power station in 2019. We’re proud to continue operating this asset to provide reliable and affordable clean energy for Queensland.

11.01.2022 Where better to put on a powerful performance than in a power station? In 2013, the now decommissioned Swanbank B Power Station, which once sat adjacent to our Swanbank E Power Station, housed the Underground Opera Company’s performance with an audience of 220 people. CleanCo took ownership of the Swanbank E power station in 2019. We’re proud to continue operating this asset to provide reliable and affordable clean energy for Queensland.
