24.01.2022 Thank you to our beautiful clients that have been calling up to see how we are doing ,checking in and have been offering support and words of kindness. Our crew have been fuelled by your support. The kind notes, calls, texts and social media messages we are receiving each day have kept us going at moments when we’ve felt exhausted, worried or discouraged. We’ve always known our clients are pretty amazing people, but we have to say these last few weeks have floored us... ... Our regular clientele build close relationships with us, and we’ve only truly realised just how strong these bonds are in these past few weeks. We’re so grateful to be able to be a part of your family and continue to nurture these long lasting relationships. So on behalf of our wonderful crew and this small business, thank you for your ongoing support, it means the world We miss you all dearly and we will see you all on the flip side. All my love and gratitude Meg

18.01.2022 Dear valued client, It is with a heavy heart that we have had to make the tough decision to to temporarily close for business as of Friday 27th March until further notice. As it stands we will be closed for 12 weeks, in line with the government guidelines, but will review it in 8 weeks and see where we stand. ... Please believe me when I say this, it has not been an easy decision, but I want to keep you and your families safe as well as myself and my beautiful staffs family. We are going to use this time off to do some forward planning for the future so that when we are able to reopen we will be in a great position to get started again. All our clients will have their slots reserved for when we return and rest assured that after lots of blood sweat and tears in business we won’t be going anywhere for long! We can not thank you enough for everything you do to make our business what it is! Stay safe look out for each other We will see you soon Much Love Meg and the team Cleaning Castlemaine

18.01.2022 There are two words that sum up the last month for us: kindness and generosity. Before COVID-19 came to be synonymous with 2020,I didn’t think I could be more grateful for our incredible customers and crew. But I was clearly wrong, because this last month has truly bought out the very best in people.... So I wanted to share a few heartwarming stories with you, because there has been a little too much focus on toilet paper hoarding and not enough on the small acts of kindness happening every day during this pandemic. We have been blown away by the kindness of our customers, and we want to pay it forward. By sharing the amazing things that have happened to us, we hope you’ll find ideas for supporting your favourite businesses through this time. Just this week we had a customer pay for a service they won’t plan on cashing in for several months. The family was concerned our cleaning crew may be short of work, so they paid for a spring clean to use when all of this passes. To see our customers and our crews caring for each other through this time has honestly been the most rewarding part of our journey so far. When I started this business 15 years ago,I could only have dreamed that my business would attract such beautiful people from the inside out. While I certainly don’t expect any of this, I hope you find inspiration here for ways you can support your favourite local shops and services And it doesn’t have to cost you a cent .... an online review or recommendation to your friends is one of the most powerful things you can do! We’ve also been flooded with messages of support. So even a quick check in via social media will remind your favourite small businesses that they haven’t been forgotten. Most importantly, keep spreading the kindness and being there for one another. We’re all in this together Much love, Meg and the team @ Cleaning Castlemaine xox

05.01.2022 Since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, health authorities have been urging us to pay attention to our hand hygiene and for good reason. 01.01.2022 TIP: How to care for your gorgeous marble benchtop! Marble doesn't respond well to chemicals, so it's very eco in terms of cleaning! Here is how to keep it looking its best ... A soft cloth and water are fine for wiping it down Try to wipe up stains like red wine, beetroot, lily pollen and turmeric straight away If something has stained, sprinkle the marble with cornflower to draw the stain out, then wipe clean Make sure you get it sealed every few years There you have it it's easy to care for! Bookmark for later if you're dreaming of getting a marble benchtop at your place
