16.01.2022 Finding yourself eating out of boredom or just simply because you're staying at home more and feel like a wander to the fridge is a form of movement. Yep. ...We totally understand. Keeping active and healthy during isolation can be a challenge, especially if we are feeling stressed and anxious. Practicing mindful eating and eating a well-balanced diet are super important to maintain a healthy relationship with food. Some of our tips are: 1 It’s a hard one but resist the urge to eat straight from the bag if you want some chips or chocolate, be aware of how much you are eating by serving it out into portions. 2 Have a seat and remove distractions eating in front of the TV and other devices is something we are probably all guilty of but be mindful of how these distractions can disrupt mindful eating. 3 Keep hydrated now that we are not out and about as much, we are probably forgetting to drink as much water as we usually would. Keep a bottle of water handy at home to track how much water you are drinking daily. 4 Stay active at home plan time out of your day to be active by going for a walk, dancing, gardening, playing with your kids and even cleaning. Moving the body is great for the mind too. How have you been keeping on track with your healthy lifestyle?
