21.01.2022 The CCC GANG had a great evening at a "Night With Your Butcher" at Huon Valley Meats in West Hobart last night. From a full lamb carcass to a wonderful presentation of cuts and ending with a beautiful dinner. We highly recommend this interesting, informative and entertaining event to be repeated in the near future. Thanks Andrew and Penny!

18.01.2022 Seeking Volunteer Trash Talkers for #LoveLivingLocally Love Living Locally is promoting zero waste this year, in an effort to reduce the amount of waste sent ...to landfill. We are encouraging everyone who is coming to sample the variety of delicious and exotic foods from around the globe, to bring along your own plates, mugs and cutlery. A wash up station will be provided so there are no dirty items to take home. There will also be compost bins available and stallholders have been urged to select from a range of compostable items to serve up their tasty produce. We are also encouraging people to avoid using single-use plastic items. Drinking water will be available so bring along your own water bottle and to fill up whenever you need. Remember to bring your own shopping bag too there is a fantastic range of lovely and locally made items for sale. To help people use the right bins to avoid contamination, and be guided to the wash-up and water stations, we need some volunteers to be Trash Talkers. So were just a little bit e...xcited about trying food made by neighbours and friends at the Taste of The Huon this coming Sunday and Monday in Ranelagh. Come on down. Monday is family day. Sunday is Shannon Noll day. Both days are good eating days.

A beautiful sunny day, lots of ...people and lots of garlic was sold. But we still have plenty more to part with. Because of a bumper crop last season we still have 30+ kg of quality organic Tassie Purple garlic to sell. Perfect for eating now or over the next few months. Can also be frozen for year round use.
