21.01.2022 CLEAR (as the Australian Christian Legal Society) was cited on several occasions in the recently released Queensland Parliament Inquiry report into a Human Rights Bill. We argued that the protections to religious freedom in the Bill should follow the protections in the relevant international law, not the lesser standards proposed in the Bill. Unfortunately the Inquiry did not heed our cautions and the Act has now passed. You can view the report here: https://www.parliament.qld.gov.au//past-in/HumanRights2018
