15.01.2022 1 woman for every 4 men is diagnosed with 'low-functioning' autism... yet only 1 woman for every 9 men is diagnosed with 'high-functioning' autism... Any woman out there identify with these characteristics? I have met many little girls who missed out on a diagnosis, whether the testing/assessors are biased towards boys is another discussion.

08.01.2022 Does your child have a stutter? It can be so tough! One of our lovely parents currently doing stuttering therapy (Lidcombe) shared this article as she found it really helped her. 08.01.2022 I really Eenjoyed watching this episode of 'You Can't Ask That' about Autism. I am a big believer in universal access - 'change the world for the child not the child for their world' We have already come so far in this space over the course of my career, I can't wait to see what happens next!

07.01.2022 One of my good friends from high school Freya, recently shared her story of growing up with a lisp and the story of Jo Biden and his experience of stuttering. This week is Speech Pathology week with the theme ‘Communicating with Confidence’ I felt their stories were powerful reminders of the role of advocacy and tolerance to support people with differences in communication who still have so much to say. #spweek https://www.theatlantic.com//joe-biden-stutter-pro/602401/

06.01.2022 If your child uses a dummy or sucks their fingers/thumb, you can cross this off your worry list! I have been lucky enough to attend a course by Elise Baker, the lead researcher on this study, she is a brilliant woman.
