20.01.2022 A REAL MIXED BAG:. Firstly, the pics explained. The before's then after paint prep. After paint shots then the rest of the car prepped for the roll on clear coat. Lastly, after a buff and ceramic coating. So this Navara needed a fair bit of magic to get it right and a variety of skills and products too.... First up was the paint. Bonnet, roof, front bumper and roof sills. So some pretty decent colour matching from my mate Craig at Inspirations Paint in Kippa Ring and a bit of blending down the pillars. Then the rest of the car was treated to a clear coat makeover with our roll on single pack urethane. Lastly, the camper frame needed a good sand blast, etch priming then paint and 3 heavy coats of high solid clear so it matched the rest of the rig. Next day a bit of buffing and coat with ceramic glaze. Now, tell me this isn't the shiniest Navara you've ever seen :-) No one, and I mean nobody makes cars shine like us. AND We are on board with PayRight so you can get the work done now and pay it off INTEREST FREE over the next 12 months. Clearly New, in every way :.

20.01.2022 BEFORE AND AFTER SHOTS OF OUR WORK

18.01.2022 MY FIRST BOAT PAINT:. Never let it be said that I won't have a crack at anything. This 20' Haines Signature has been in before to have the clear renew process done to it but after only 1 year it unfortunately failed. (Just like the importer and distributor) Anyway, it was decided that to make this boat look as good as it deserved to look that paint was the only option. Now i've never painted a boat before but I do love a challenge and I am glad I accepted this one.... Many hours of sanding and masking then 2 coats of epoxy primer followed by many more hours sanding and masking and I was ready to paint. The paint I did this with is a 2K solid. No clear coat required. 3 Coats and a tack coat out of my new Iwata Bellaria W400 and the results speak for themselves. What you see is straight from the gun. No buffing or polish. I haven't even ceramic coated it yet. I came out looking like the blue Yeti ( I really should get a spray suit) and the whole workshop and everything in it now has a Haines Blue haze over it but it was worth it. Customer very happy and that's all that matters. Who's next? See more

16.01.2022 WEEKENDER:. I don’t normally post quick jobs and single panel jobs but it may be a while before I get to post anything as we have 2 major jobs in that could take some time. Hey I’m 56 and slowing down a bit. Can’t bang em out like I used to. So this particular bonnet belongs to a 99 Subaru WRX STI with an enormous amount of modifications under this particular bonnet. Everywhere you look there another blue mod plate. So there was a bit of shinanigans that had gone on with ...this pre Clearly New. I’m not sure what it had been touched up with but as Subaru bonnets are Alluminium I needed to etch prime first. When I misted the stuff on the whole front of the bonnet flared up like I’d hit it with a blow torch to about 6 back. So I had to sand it all off back past the repairs until I hit normal paint and try again. 3 heavy coats of high build primer and a whole heap of sanding sorted everything out in the end including about a dozen small hail dents. The paint is 2K solid again. I’m starting to like using this stuff. The finish speaks for itself and I don’t have to clear coat it. What you see there is straight out of the gun and onto the car. In Friday lunch time and out Sunday morning for a mere $450. You’d have to be happy about that wouldn’t you? See more

06.01.2022 U BEUT VY UTE:. To sort this Ute out was a big ask. We were limited with time and we also had a very limited budget. We had six days to sort out this train wreck and only $2500 All the plastics were either broken, cracked or missing. The rear bumpers were both torn and crunched. There was a decent size whack in the back left-hand side of the tub. And to be honest this thing has had more hits the Mike Tyson. But it doesn't stop there. The driver-side quarter glass was sitting ...on the passenger front floor and previous attempts to Sika Flex it in were unsuccessful. There were missing clips and screws and all in all it was just a big job for us. thankfully, I have a new offsider and although he's not experienced his help during those six days was fantastic. He also happens to be a former customer of mine. Remember Christine the Lancer? Now to be brutally honest I am not a panel beaters arsehole and that big dent in the tub was way beyond my capabilities and if you look close enough you'll see its not perfect but its a hell of a lot better than it was. Six days and $2500 is not a lot when you think of the scope of this job but the owner has quit working and given up his dreams of starting his own business to go as a full-time carer for his dad. That is a very noble gesture in my books and deserved reward. To say I went over budget would be an understatement but hey, it felt good to be able to help out someone like Sean. Back to the car now. What you see is another job that has come straight out of the booth. No polish. No buffing. Not even washed and no ceramic coating. At least not yet anyway. With my new offsider and the awesome new gun i'm using I can take on a lot more work now so bring it on. WHO's NEXT? See more
