25.01.2022 Exciting news! We are back! Dentistry is now back to Level 1 restrictions which means we are returning to normal. What is normal? ... We are still strictly adhering to the Covid safe plan which is implemented to keep our patients safe and all or staff safe, and there will be some adjustments to scheduling. Please be patient and flexible whilst we try and accommodate you all, especially the patients who have been rescheduled from lockdown 1 and 2. This is going to take some considerable time. We look forward to seeing all our regular patients and welcome any new patients who are committed to improving their dental health. This is wonderful news!

21.01.2022 Yes, we are still open to care for all our lovely patients. Whilst Dentistry is under level 2 restrictions, procedures can still be performed under Rubber dam- where the tooth is Isolated. ... Routine dental examinations can also still be completed as well. This is Dr John Traiforos and one of our lovely Clinical staff, Paula, who will be leaving us soon to commence maternity leave. Stay safe everyone and remember to wear a mask.

20.01.2022 Great flossing technique tip from one of our very experienced hygienists Mattina Tweaking your daily routines can mean the difference between good and great oral hygiene! Give this a go

19.01.2022 Dental Tip Tuesday Tomorrow Dentistry in Victoria goes to Level 2 Restrictions. This means there will be limitations with performing treatment to reduce aeroso...ls. So treatment by the dentist will have to be performed under Rubber Dam- a barrier put over the tooth to isolate it from the rest of the mouth. For Hygienists this means only hand instrumentation can be utilised- no aerosols or water can be used at all- unfortunately this means a stop to treatment performed by us as we can’t give our patients the quality of care they have come to expect and deserve. Does this mean that your dental health has to deteriorate??? NO- it’s most important during this time to be diligent with your oral hygiene with your cleaning aids- your toothbrush and floss or little brushes for between the teeth. Your oral health can impact your general health so please, during these concerned times, it is important to keep up with your regular daily teeth and gums cleaning routine. Stay safe everyone.

19.01.2022 CLICK FRENZY It’s that time where your inbox and screens will be inundated with specials If you are an electric toothbrush lover and in need of an update, we’ve noticed these deals worth checking out ... Whilst some models have some fancy features & pricetag to match, we suggest the features that are of best benefit are pressure indicator & timer

17.01.2022 Dr John Traiforos and Dr Tom Brookes and our team of amazing ladies would like to wish all of our patients a Happy New Year. We are looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces throughout 2020.

12.01.2022 *****ANNOUNCEMENT***** Our practitioners are still functioning at level 1 and at this present time the government has said that Visiting the dentist is a valid/lawful reason to leave home under the current Level 3 restrictions. ... If we hear of any changes we will let you know. Please stay safe everyone.

11.01.2022 Remember to floss as well!

08.01.2022 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY from all of us at Cleeland Dental We consider it a real honour when generations of families trust us with their dental health So to all those mothers who ... make sure their kids brush & look after their teeth when they are little drag the teenagers along to see the dentist for their regular checkups (and shock Dr Traiforos when he sees how fast they are growing!!!!) Sacrifice whatever it takes for any treatment their family needs remind their adult child to look after their teeth after they have left home and support their elderly mothers by accompanying them to their appointments T H A N K Y O U Your influence is so important and does not go unnoticed

06.01.2022 Dear patients During this difficult time Cleeland Dental remains open to service the needs of our existing patients and any emergency needs of new patients albeit under reduced hours. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection control protecting both our staff and patients. We have provided adequate space in the reception area to minimise patient proximity and if at capacity are asking patients to wait in their cars until we can see them. We are as...king all patients to wash their hands and sanitise before they sit in reception. The current level 2 restrictions in place for dental practice has seen a suspension of all hygiene treatment. We are distressed that this absolutely fundamental aspect of dental care, which has the greatest impact on general health at a time when we all need to do all we can to keep healthy, has been suspended. We are committed to recommencing this critical aspect of your dental care as soon as we can. If your call is not answered we will return all messages left on the answering machine. Please if you have any symptom at all or any cough, runny nose, sore throat, anything at all, please do not attend the practice. Call ahead. We appreciate all the messages of support and hope that you all stay healthy and safe Regards John, Tom and Staff

06.01.2022 FLOSS MATTERS Due to Level 2 Dental Service Restrictions in Covid-19, our Hygienists are unable to use any equipment that generate aerosols. This means they cannot perform treatment at the high standard you as patients have come to expect. In the meantime, your daily oral hygiene routine is really important to not just keep your hygienist smiling, but keep you in control of the germs that cause gum disease. ... 05.01.2022 WE ARE OPEN You may have heard that the government has eased COVID-19 restrictions for dentists which gives us the ability to treat a broader range of patients, not just emergencies. We have made the most of the level 3 disruptions by giving the practice a spruce up, but Kath is happy to be out of the drop sheet and into level 2 and is available to answer your calls.

05.01.2022 An update as we are entering the road map out of of Stage 4 restrictions. Dentistry is still under Level 4 restrictions which means it is for Emergency treatment only. Please, if you are worried or concerned about anything then please call our lovely staff during business hours and they can discuss with you any course of action required. We hope all our patients and their families are staying well and safe and positive during these uncertain times and we are looking forwa...rd to hopefully seeing all your lovely faces and looking after your dental health again very soon.
