16.01.2022 It was great to see hundreds of families enjoying the RCC Lighting of the Christmas Tree in Cleveland event last Friday night to mark the start of Festive Season. Santa was the centre of attention for hundreds of kids who needed to let him know their Christmas wishes. The cast of Rockit Productions entertained the crowds with their joyful Christmas harmonies setting the scene for the finale of the lighting of the tree. There were stalls with Redlands Coast merch, Night Markets and the local retail stores enjoyed bumper crowds who were enthused by the catch cry of "Shop Local".

15.01.2022 Email from Redland City Council to Cleveland Village Traders Association for your information and action. Dear Traders and Business Owners, Councils transport planning team is currently working on creating a Cleveland Transport and Traffic Strategy. As part of this project, we are having two workshops with the Cleveland traders and businesses and members of public. Local businesses are important stakeholders in this process and we would like to invite you to attend the works...hop on 11 May at 7am at the Cleveland Library building. Our consultants from MRCagney will also be attending and we are looking forward to engaging with you and hearing your ideas, issues and suggestions about the Cleveland Town Centre. 15.01.2022 Happy New Year Everyone, Cleveland Centre - Parklet opportunities If you are a in Bloomfield or Middle Streets you may be interested in this email received from Redland City Council. The contact details are below if this is something you would like to be considered for.... Cleveland Centre - Parklet opportunities Tim Mitchell Yesterday, 11:47 AM As discussed we have a potential opportunity over February and March to set up a couple of parklets in Cleveland Centre (ideally a parklet in both Middle Street and Bloomfield Street) and wanting to involve the local business community to be art of the process. The purpose of these parklets would be to coincide with the community consultation of the Cleveland Centre Traffic and Transport Strategy final draft and is a great opportunity to create bit of change while having a broader discussion about transport matters in the centre. The parklets would be similar to the version we had outside One Stop Caf in March 2018 (picture attached) and at this point in time would be looking to have the parklet in place for month of February. Would you be able to liaise with local businesses within CVTA to canvass if theres any interest to host a parklet? Can you please circulate to the local business community and request they contact me directly to discuss further. If you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me.
