25.01.2022 THREADHEADS quilt exhibition is all set up at Burrumbeet Soldiers Hall, Burrumbeet, just 25 km from Ballarat off to the right of the Western Highway on Burrumbeet Rd. Open from 10.00am until 4 pm on Sunday 25th August. $10.00 entry fee includes wonderful country food. Over 50 quilts on display. 12.01.2022 Wishing you all a very happy and safe 2020. I have spent between Boxing Day and 30th Dec in hospital. After being bitten by a visiting cat whilst attempting to rescue it from being stuck in the door, infection set in and ended up having surgery to clean the wound out and have a drainage tube inserted into the wound. Home now but still resting:- sort of!! Hope to be back quilting very soon. Second photo is of the very apologetic cat

09.01.2022 Another finish! I began this quilt a a retreat in Cohuna with @mckillopmichelle in June. The focus fabric was a piece of vintage linen that I purchased from @luccellomelbourne at AQC this year. There was not quite enough fabric to cut out nine feature circles so a little appliqué had to be done with a couple of the blocks. 08.01.2022 After reading @mckillopmichelle and @poppyprint and other posts about #makershands I began to think about my hands and what they have endured and accomplished o...ver the last 55 years. As you can see they are less than perfect to the eye but to me they couldn’t be any more normal. At the age of 18 months I put my hand between the belt and pulley of a motor leaving me with this injury. Growing up I was always taught by my mother that this was indeed no barrier to not accomplish anything I wished to do with my hands. Mum taught me many crafts including sewing and ultimately patchwork where my love lies in the craft industry. These hands have bricked gardens edges, painted, hand built a chair, made cupboards gardened and much more. The have held a precious only child. They have mended skin knees. They have held the hand of my one true love for the last 36 years. I love my hands and am proud of what they have achieved over my lifetime. See more

05.01.2022 Weekend project!! Well actually it may have taken a little longer. It has been over twelve months since I purchased the tiles. Yes they are a bit quilty looking. Finally had them cut last week and then I had them glued and grouted in no time. I then put an aluminium edge around it to finish it off nicely. #tiling #hexagons #cleverducksquiltingco

02.01.2022 Penguin Parade. I initially purchased a fat 1/4 of this fabric and used it as a sample piece to demonstrate Y seams at #Amitie a while ago. Then I decided to make it into a quilt so the hunt was on to find some more of this fabric. I managed to find it in a shop in England.
