25.01.2022 This Whale breached off Cairns out in the Great Barrier Reef, Picture by Vlad, our guest who was on the old pearl boat Falla,( Falla Reef Trip ) 24/08/2018. A wonderful experience indeed on a picture perfect day.

23.01.2022 This year, were once again asking Booking.com customers to share their most incredible hospitality stories. Why? To find our next #BookingHero a partner like you who went above and beyond to make their guests trips special. Were excited to announce that entries are now open. You can share details about the #BookingHero campaign on your social media to encourage your previous guests to nominate and take a look at the stories guests are already sharing.

22.01.2022 Fantastic experience with Malcolm from Bad Fishy Jet Boat Tours Cairns, a must do !!!!

22.01.2022 Great day out on the Skyrail up to Kuranda. The new skywalk has just opened & it is well worth the trip, the closest you can get to the Barron Falls. We also chose the Dimond carriage with the clear view floor, worth the upgrade, an amazing view of the rainforest below.

22.01.2022 Sun bird has now settled into her nest.

21.01.2022 The high tide at Clifton Beach 21/02/2019 has spilled into Deadmans Gully & is quite impressive. It has also eroded some of the beach, but it will come back.

21.01.2022 Thus little Sun Bird has built his nest, under the eve of the Cottage, over the last few days, getting ready for his lady to lay her eggs. It has been wonderful to watch him build it.

12.01.2022 Views of Clifton Beach, Palm Cove & the stacking rocks on the way to Port Douglas.

12.01.2022 The wet season is certainly a big one this year, it has not stopped raining for over 1 month & with more to come. The good thing is that all this rain & cooler weather temperatures is very good for the Great Barrier Reef, and will give it the time it needs to regenerate. The Barren Falls at Kuranda is pumping, as are all the waterfalls in the Tablelands. So a big wet has some benefits as well.... Finally saw a Cassowary & chick in their natural habitat on the way down the Kuranda Range, they are quite elusive, it has taken me 6 years to see this. See more

11.01.2022 Paronella Park, ruins of the old castle,(& a love story from the past. south of Cairns & worth a trip to see it.

10.01.2022 What an amazing day we had with Franklin Islands Reef Cruises, with our guests Sylvia & Karsten, from Germany. An amazing experience, as this is the only boat to visit the Franklin Islands, so it is totally private & no big crowds coming off other boats. The reef is absolutley brilliant & in pristine condition. I was on the Semi Sub & the view was incredible, & highly recommend this experience. I have never seen such an array of Cabbage corals & layer apon layer of plate c...oral, as well as so many more varieties, massive brain coral, colourful clams, & lots & lots of fish, & turtles. The main Island is a breeding ground for the turtles, & we were lucky enough to see a brand new track where a turtle has chosen to make her nest. The guided reef snorkeling tour was also brilliant with expert guides, Ale, Johno & Sola. Alan had the best time with the Sea-doo, as he would. The walk around the Island was very informative as Ale is an expert Marine Bioligist, & she explained the history of the Islands & that they are a National park, so they will always stay pristine. If you are looking for something a bit different, & far from the crowds, then this is the your for you. See more

05.01.2022 Well , this was dinner. Two Red Snapper caught by Merv from Canada. I baked them upright in the BBQ. Shredded coconut & flour coating with an Asian marinade dressing with lemon infused overlay of the most delightful, scintillating and enticing oral stimuli. Copious fine wine with polished discourse topped by an erudite Port of superlative symbiotic sequel.... a lemon/ water
