06.01.2022 A towering work of art The Clifton & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry is asking for your ideas to turn the Clifton Water Tower into a work of art. The Chamber sees this project as one way of enticing visitors to our town. The subject of the art work is open but some relevance to the Clifton district would be essential. You might like to depict a scene from Clifton's pioneering past or your vision of Clifton in the future, it could take in points of interest such as tra...ins, land features, agriculture, local flora and fauna, indigenous culture, megafauna, people, sports - almost anything that relates to Clifton. You could even incorporate lots of features into one design. You can draw, paint or digitally impose your ideas on the water tower template provided or if you are not feeling that artisitic, just write down your ideas. Please send your ideas to [email protected], text photo or ideas to 0437 641 277 or drop hard copies into the Clifton Courier or Clifton SHS. We would love to see your ideas by 16 October 2020. There are lots of examples on the web - search for "water tower art". Below is one idea from Doug Hendry
