19.01.2022 "Injuries are an innate part of being active. You're a unicorn if you haven't experienced some form of injury before regardless of whether you're a pro-athlete or a sporting newbie, they are unavoidable. However, we should try our best to prevent them because there is nothing worse than being forced to stop doing the sport you love!" Coach Sam Higham runs you through his top 8 exercises for stronger shoulders.

13.01.2022 BALLS ARE BACK! In line with recommendations from Sport Climbing NSW ACT and Sport Climbing Australia we are allowing the return of chalk balls (in a chalk bag) for use at Climb Fit. This is a step closer to the good old days for climbing in NSW. We still strongly recommend you use LIQUID CHALK for shorter routes/bouldering or less sweaty days, but chalk balls will be welcomed back with great enthusiasm for those who wish to make the switch.... * NO LOOSE CHALK will be allowed. And please keep your chalk ball securely in a bag to minimise dust in the air. * Please remember that we still require that you use HAND SANITISER when you move to a new wall/panel - we don’t want people to get complacent just when things are starting to get better. * Please be vigilant with WASHING YOUR HANDS before and after your session and try to avoid peak times. Check our live capacity tracker on our website for updates. Keep up the good work, stay healthy and please hang out at home if you’re feeling unwell. 13.01.2022 We all love climbing, but did you know it can also be a form of moving MEDITATION ? When you get into the flow, and really focus on the moves in front of you... everything else kind of fades away. It’s just you, your breath and the route. So, if you’re one of those people who thinks that they can’t meditate- you may already be doing it. ... 09.01.2022 If this weather has got you psyched to try Bouldering outdoors, have a read of this. Adrian Mascenon runs you through his top tips on what to bring, how to stay safe, and highlights some important access and etiquette issues.

07.01.2022 Climbing and mental health Member and A/Prof Simon Rosenbaum wrote this great article for us back when climbing gyms in NSW were closed. Lots of really relevant info and tips on how to get back into exercise if you have lost the motivation to move. "Movement can indeed be medicine for our mind. So the next time we are lucky enough to pull onto our favourite route, work a problem in the gym or simply have a coffee with a friend to plan the next adventure, don't forget to appreciate the benefits this brings, not just for our bodies but also our minds".

06.01.2022 Hahaha. How many of these movies are you gonna watch again over the weekend?

05.01.2022 RAINY DAY WEEKEND HANGS An indoor climbing gym is definitely the place to be when the weather is nasty out there. Here are some tips for you; - our peak time is between 10am-3pm where we will likely hit capacity. Please come visit outside of these hours. And check our capacity tracker online before you come. - if it’s been a while since your last visit, jump on our website now and sign our new waiver to save you some time - our bouldering and gym areas are strictly for 16+ y...ears, so it’s a nice place to hang out today when our roped area will be pretty busy. - please keep your visit to 2 hours so that more people can come and enjoy a session today. - remember to wash your hands on arrival and use our hand sanitiser between climbs. Chalk balls in a bag are now permitted, but we still love liquid chalk too! Thanks everyone
