11.01.2022 The Moora Historical Society has successfully applied to the Department of Veterans Affairs for a Saluting Their Service Grant which will allow the society to research and publish The Last Defence: The History of the 13th (Moora) Battalion of the Volunteer Defence Corps (VDC) 1939-1945. The VDC, with its headquarters in Moora, played an integral part in the defence of the State. The society invites members of the public who have photos or documents related to the Moora VDC or those who served in the unit, to contact the Historical Society.

02.01.2022 Our lovely Allie Gledhill from Moora Chiropractors wanted to research the origins of her building, 66 Padbury St. She had been given an early photo of when the Kuhls had tobacconist, hairdresser and billiard room so she approached the Moora Historical Society for information. She has done an amazing job and hopes to put it together as a point of interest in her building. The unveiling of this work in progress was at Rotary last night. Well done Allie
