18.01.2022 I’m still walking. I Did a lovely 10km walk yesterday around the beautiful countryside of Kilcunda. I have now walked 125km and my team has raised $5515 for mental health research, free counselling clinics and online resources through the #blackdoginstitute If you are struggling with mental health, YOU are NOT alone #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #suicideprevention #suicideaware #youarenitalone #youcantalk #helpinghands #resilience #danielleaitkenauthor #kilcundahypnotherapy

11.01.2022 So HAPPY Together our AMAZING team has travelled 774KM’s to take One Foot Forward for mental health research! We have raised FIVE THOUSAND FIFTY SIX DOLLARS! Thank you to all our amazing members, and all our amazing sponsors.... Did you know that 1 in 5 people experience symptoms of mental illness each year? In fact, every day in Australia, 8 people will die from suicide.. I’m not doing this for me. I’m doing it for them This October, I am challenging myself to walk 150km to make a difference to the lives of people touched by mental illness and suicide. And I'm 2 weeks into my challenge! I've already walked 70kms, and it's not been easy. But I'm not stopping yet. Because the money I raise will fund support tools for people who need them most, as well as life-changing research into the prevention and treatment of mental illness. Please support my challenge and help change the lives of people living with mental illness: https://www.onefootforward.org.au/fundraisers/danielleaitken Thank you so much, Danielle #blackdog #mentalhealth #suicideprevention #theripples #itsoktonotbeok #youcantalk #youmatter #steppingoutformentalhealth

10.01.2022 Getting to sleep can be easier than you think... the key is ... don’t think ! Thoughts Will keep you awake. Processes like body scans keep the mind focused away from everyday thoughts, and using the breath, focusing on the longer exhalation will connect you to the body’s parasympathetic nervous system, which helps you relax
