18.01.2022 Why Regular Dog Grooming is Important Owning a pet dog has turned into such a big trend these days. With the proliferation of new and cute breeds of dogs, a lot of people have become absolutely in love with the notion of taking care of their very own puppies. www.bladesharpening.com.au ... You will also notice that dogs these days are more well-groomed than usual. Before, a normal treatment for a dog is just a simple haircut, now there are a lot of different ways to grooming your dog. There are even dog spas that cut, style and blow-dry a dog's flowing locks. Dogs are really spoiled these days. But grooming your dog is not just a frivolous activity. In fact, dogs need a lot of grooming all the time. It keeps them smelling clean, looking good, and most of all, it keeps your dog happy and healthy. It is therefore, a must, that you groom your dog regularly. Regular grooming for your dog is something as simple as trimming its fur, nails and cleaning him. If you are not used to trimming your dog, you can take him to a dog salon, and give him the works. Of course, these services tend to be a little bit pricey. If you are not too particular with your dog's hairstyle, then you can go to a vet to have him get his grooming. Vets also trim fur, and their nails, which not only help your dog, but your home as well. It is important that you regularly trim your dog's fur. It keeps the shedding at bay, and your vacuum will thank you for it. It also keeps your dog's coat healthy and shiny. If you don't trim it regularly, it could end up in tiny knots, which would end up dirty, and hard to maintain. Your couches and floors will also thank you if you trim your dog's nails regularly. Don't let it grow too long, nor allow it to grow long enough that it becomes sharp. You don't want scratched furniture just because you got lazy tending to your dog. Once your dog gets the hang of getting his fur cut and his nails trimmed, you can now begin to do it yourself at home. While service at the vet isn't too expensive, wouldn't it be better if you took out this cost altogether? To be able to groom your dog by yourself, you'll need a pair of sharp scissors and a clipper blade. It's important that your scissors are sharp so you won't have a hard time trimming your dog's hair. Your dog will be impatient so you need to do it quickly. Sharp scissors will do the trick for you. To trim your dog's nails, get him sharp clipper blades. Don't let your dog's nails grow too long so it won't curl and pierce your dog's paw. Keep the sharp scissors and the clipper blades in a cool, dry area, to avoid rusting and dulling of the blades. Oil the scissors and the clipper blades regularly, too. Try to keep a schedule when grooming your dog so you won't forget. Your dog will become a healthy, clean and happy dog. 07.01.2022 How to correct trim your dog nails? Did you know trimming a dog’s nails is vital to its health and existence? Dog’s that do not get their nails trimmed can end up with damage to their skeletal system because the long nails can affect their ability to walk correctly. The nails can also get so long that they will snap off and because of this; the dog nail bleeding can cause pain. The dog can also experience sore paws and legs. A snapped nail can also become infected which can l...ead to serious health problems or even death. www.bladesharpening.com.au The best way to prevent a dog from experiencing any of these problems is to trim their nails and to trim them properly. Dog nails are not like human nails. Their nails can’t be trimmed just any way. If a dogs nails are improperly trimmed, you run the risk of causing severe pain and dog nail bleeding. You will also cause the dog to be afraid of getting its nails clipped. No one wants any of these problems for their beloved pet. The following instructions will teach how to cut a dog’s nails properly. The first step in trimming a dog’s nails properly is to get the proper tools. The proper tool to cut a dog’s nails is dog nail clippers which are made especially for them. Do not use scissors. Scissors are not good for cutting nails because they were not designed to cut nails. If you don’t have access to dog nail clippers than locate the nearest groomer and let them trim your dog’s nails. The second step is to get the dog to lie in a comfortable position. Some have found the best position to trim a dog’s nails is either on its back or its side. When the dog is positioned, you can begin clipping its nails. Next clip small pieces of the nail off at a 45 degree angle to make sure you miss hitting tissue. Look for a dark spot in the nail. If you see it do not clip near this because you are nearing tissue and if you cut into it, you will cause the dog serve pain and bleeding. The third and final step is to file the dog’s nails with a nail file to remove any jagged edges. If you feel uncomfortable with clipping your dog’s nails you can always obtain the assistance of a veterinarian or a pet groomer. They can do it for you and they may be willing to teach you how to trim your dogs nails properly. Kind Regards Luc Sharpening service | LAK Project www.bladesharpening.com.au
